I reach 3.7 with 18x206 on stock voltage, i can ease the voltage up and had a proper play yesterday, but i just got so unstable when i started messing with the v. I'm gona give 18.5 a go in a bit and ease the voltage untill its stable, the stock cooler looks pretty good, ma load temp is around 56c so i wasn't gona buy after market coolin, but been considering it since i cant get 4ghz which is ma target.

Im also trying to drop the latency on ma RAM, i read that it could go to 8/8/8/20 with ease (from 9/9/9/24), but no joy for me!!

Sorry my mistake I am also at 18x206 :)
Just had to raise voltage to 1.392v (according to CPU-Z, my Asus TurboV says 1.45v for some reason)

If case clearance isn't an issue I highly recommend a CoolerMaster V8!

Settled down to 50c after 12hours of Prime95 torture tests @ 3712Mhz, 1.392v (Small FFTs)

Give it 1.38/1.39vcore / 1.38v on the NB
Multi @ x18 and raise the bus to 210 (later on you can keep raising the bus to overclock you ram a bit)

ok, im running it at 3.8 now with those settings, but the NBv I've only got at 1.32, im gona try and push it up abit, my ram is also now at 840 so that pretty good. Cheers for the help.

If found that Turbov and AMDOverdrive dont show whats been changed in my BIOS, i can only assume that you have to set all bios to auto and only change settings with the software. I just use CUP-z and change everything in the BIOS, much more reliable.

You have to manually change the NB voltage to what I specified if you want a stable system... Of course Im just giving you an example of how to do it, the values might differ a bit but you get the idea....

ok, ive set my NBv to 1.38 and ran 3dmark Vantage, got the best score yet and it ran silk smooth, cheers for your help, i recon i can keep my current system now until the 5870's reduce in price.

Cheers

For me at 1.44-1.46 I can keep 3.77 stable.

but I can't go under that in volts or I crash in windows. Even at 3.7 I crash.

My NB voltage is stock. Should I try to raise it so I can push it further?

3.8 @ 1.44v

38-41C idle
51-54 load

Ran Crysis for about 3-4 hours then Prime95 for 15min to max it out. Seems fine and I'm not into running prime for 8 hours.

I have an Asus M3A78-CM theres only 3 options for the voltage. +50mv, +100mv, and +150mv. 150 is 1.44 So i dont know how to change it.

edit:

just dled AMD overdrive and its saying 1.3v but CPU-Z says 1.44v???
