Ask the same question a while ado but it seems to have disappeared.

Well, here it goes (again). If I put R9-270 togerther with my AMD A10, will APU bottleneck the GPU. And do you recommend it?

If it helps, I'll overclock my APU just to minimize the bottleneck.

I'll gladly provide my other system specs if it's necessary.

Thanks in advance!

Solution
well, a10 5800 actually is a athlon 750K without igp..

and athlon 750k almost have same performance with Phenom II 965 BE despite lack of L3 cache..

R9 270 is 7870 with a slight GPU underclock..

well, actually, you'll experience a little bottlenecked..but just a little..85-90% of that card real performance..
and you'll still gain significant performance boost for all of your games..

but like you say, overclock will help..a lot, to minimize this bottleneck effect..
"Why you want to buy something can deliver bigger watt if you only use less than 560 watt..? "
i've already said it..right..? 😀

the problems is with the connector..
corsair gs700 power connector is not support multiconfiguration because lack of requirement 2x 6 pin connector + 2x 6+2 pin connector..

well, you may see this one..

SuperFlower SF-650R14HE.
nice gold 650w psu with 2x6 pin connector + 2x 6+2 pin connector..

it will more than enough for your setup with multiconfiguration card..

but if you insist with bigger wattage of psu..then yes, gs800 still a good choice, and have a required connector..and you have alot unused headroom with it..

gold, silver, bronze and 80 only certification is a efficiency..
but, higher certification need higher quality component to reach each level of efficiency..

Higher component quality always make unit more durable than the unit which is using lower component quality.

that's why, usually, gold or platinum certification, can overloaded almost 150-200w than wattage label without any issue..
so we can assume, for example, SuperFlower 650w Gold, can overloaded well up to 800-850w..

I did kept in mid what you said but the connectors we're not the ones I needed. The SupperFlower is just what I needed...... only problem... looking for it in the Philippines. They have branches in Asia but sadly, not here. The cheapest possible solution I found is the 800w, might be a waste for the unused power but who knows I may throw in some other things and maybe enough to power when I upgrade (again) in the future.

If I find some cheaper and has lower wattage then I'll come here again. So please help me. :)

Well, will the final machine (all upgrades I listed) be able to play 1080p single, monitor, games like Crysis 3, Battlefield 4, Skyrim at High-Highest settings @ 60 fps WITHOUT overclock (may use the system's preset overclocking options though)?

yeah, in indonesia, almost all of computer store for enthusiast sell this superflower..excellent powersupply with a cheaper price than seasonic or corsair..

well, at that resolution(1080p), even the single setup (fx6300+r9 280x+etc) will run perfectly at the highest setting for any games available until at least next year or even next two years...

but if you take multiconfiguration setup (i5 4670k+ 2x r 280x), well, at least for 3 or even next 5 years you can play future games at the high or even highest setting..

actually, one of my computer in my house, still using Phenom II X6 +1090T and 2x 5850, well, this combo is king of the hill in 2009..
but still maxed out any games available until today, after almost 5 years..

That's what you get from thinking ahead to the future. A 5-year-old computer that still delivers a punch. I would like to make my baby last a couple of year just like yours. I've put a lot of money in it so here's hoping I can save enough money to build better system before my system dies.

Again, thank you very much. you helped me a lot, not only in choosing the right components but also gained knowledge about computers. Thank You Very very VERY MUCH! :)

You must be tired of me but I'm back again!

Just found this nice 750w which is lower than the corsair but costs more.
http://dynaquestpc.com/product/xfx-proseries-750w-xxx-edition-semi-modular-psu/

Would you recommend it?

I like it because its modular and has 8 PCI-e connectors. Will it be compatible with my future Mobo? And is it compatible with my MSI FM2-A55M-E33?

That's reassuring. Decided to get that one. :) Maybe that would be the end of the questions XD. Though I might come back again.

Thank you very much!
