Windows 7 is only $100:

And I would have to say that the build posted above is much better than the build first posted. But I would say you can do it G530 style for cheaper.

Intel Celeron G530
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116409
$50

AsRock H61M-DGS

$45

G.SKILL Value Series 4GB
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231421
$21

Athena Power Case
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811192289
$20

CORSAIR Builder Series CX430 V2
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139026&Tpk=cx430
$45

SAMSUNG 22X DVD Burner...
Integrated graphics are usually poor choices for playing games unless you play on low resolution (1366x768) with a mix of low and medium graphic quality for good performance. I assume it would be fine for Minecraft and Amnesia. However, Skyrim....

See following review of the A8-3850 with a more powerful integrated graphic core. The HD 6410D would be slower than a desktop Radeon HD 6450.

This is the PC I built for work back in February/March, and it will play those games at 1680x1050 and below:

- 3870K
- Asus F1A75 V Pro
- 8GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM (Kingston is good)
- HAF 912

At medium to high quality. Note the 5800K is coming within a month which will be faster for gaming.

I listed in order the CPU, the motherboard with the right chipset to fit the CPU (FM1 socket), decent RAM, and a case. Those are the guts of your PC. Your local PC store should be able to build it for you for a fee if you don't want to. Add a PSU (I recommend the Corsair CX 430 v2) and a hard drive + optical drive.

EDIT: Price is around $400-450, just shop around.

I wouldn't use a Pentium in a day to day all round build. Bottom line, too slow.

The graphic core in Llano APUs (AMD's "A" series) can be Crossfired with a Radeon HD 6xxx series graphic card up to the Radeon HD 6670. Anything faster than that or any Radeon HD card of a different series, or any nVidia card will automatically disable the integrated graphic core.

Crossfire will help boost the performance bit. I am guessing that if you install a Radeon HD 6670 in the PC and graphic drivers recognizes the card, then the combined performance will probably be equal to a Radeon HD 6750; more or less.

I just looked up the 500 build, looks pretty decent to me! I would need some help putting it together though because I'm pretty much lost as of now :heink:

I would go with the following from Newegg.

1x GIGABYTE GA-880GM-USB3 AM3+ AMD 880G USB 3.0 HDMI ...
1x G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 ...
1x Rosewill FBM-01 Dual Fans MicroATX Mini Tower ...
1x COOLER MASTER eXtreme Power Plus RS500-PCARD3-US ...
1x Seagate Barracuda ST31000524AS 1TB 7200 RPM SATA ...
1x LITE-ON DVD Burner - Bulk Black SATA Model iHAS124-04 - OEM
1x Linkworld Electronic LLC FAN-9 90mm Case Fan - OEM

For $367 before rebates.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.983101

Add the following Radeon HD 7750 for $110 before rebate:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102969

Total in cart before rebates = $477 + $16 shipping. No taxes unless you live in a California or any state where Newegg has a warehouse. There are a total of 3 rebates for $35 total. That brings down the total estimate cost to $458.

Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136769
$70

That's $268 total, and with Windows its $368.

Windows 7 OEM:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116986
$100

That allows for about a HD6670:

Sapphire HD6670 GDDR5
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102958
$90

That should drop it around $458. You can go cheaper on a few of the items, like the DDR3 version of the 6670 instead:

Sapphire HD6670 DDR3:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102988
$65

That would put it at about $433, which would cover shipping and whatever.

How do you think this would withstand gaming?

I've built quite a few computers with the Celeron G530 in it, and I even have one now with that same 6670 GDDR5. It plays all the games I want to at pretty high settings. Given my resolution is only 1440x900. I also haven't tried any high end games. I have tried Skyrim though, and it ran fine at medium settings.

This is about as cheap as a gaming rig can go, and this is a pretty darn good one. You can also upgrade the GPU in the future if you so please.
