Hello everyone!

I have an old PC build from ~2012 with an AMD A8-5600k.
There is no a fancy cooling, just two fans (one for the CPU and one for the rest of the tower).

I think the temperatures are a bit high and I am afraid to use the PC.

Here is a screenshot using CoreTemp: View: https://imgur.com/a/mWp3GZT
.
Could you tell me if the temperatures are ok?

If not, what should I do first? Change the thermal paste or something else?

Thank you very much in advance!

I'm not sure what fans speeds you have it set to and if they are working properly. Was this all at idle and light web browsing or any CPU intensive tasks?

Just looking at the minimum temp being that high is a way too much. I would suggest that if the fans are clean and working properly then to check the fan curve settings and also to apply new good quality thermal paste.

Thank you very much both of you for the quick response!
During light web browsing the CPU #0 temp is around ~35 - 40C and min temp at 5C, I was installing a program at that time.

However, I will clean the fans, apply new thermal paste and come with an update if needed.

Thanks again!

That CPU temp while idle and light web browsing is actually just fine. Looks like you may want to look into setting the CPU fan curve so that it will run at a higher rpm before reaching too high of a temperature. Other than that it seems fine and like a good plan.
