AMD am1+ GTX 750 gaming OC?

Hi guys! I have a question , a friend of mine uses 775 system( cpu:C2D e8400 ,8 GB DDR3 ram and msi gtx 750 gaming , he can play games on medium do high on 1680x1050 res) , so would an upgrade to a cheap quad core am1 (Athlon 5350 ) + am1 motherboard do something good? ( + It also supports USB 3,Sata 3 etc) .He just doesn't have the money for something better than that. About 90 dollars

The Athlon 5350 is not much stronger than the Core 2 Duo e8400. It wouldn't be a worthwhile upgrade.

An AM1 system would almost certainly be a downgrade... it's for embedded systems.

I'd try to save up for an Athlon 750K/760K and FM2/FM2+ board.

I agree on the saving up part, just not on what to save for. Save up for at least an i3 4130 and B85 pro4. The E8400 is a great overclocker. I would get a decent cooler and give it a boost.
