Hiya All!!

I'm going to sleep soon but what's this about censorship in AussieLand?

To all I'm sorry if missed any questions comments etc the last 10 days or more?

After joined I think I explained when something came up, about how I've tried to handle my life as a paraplegic almost 40 years now, my view that I always tried to educate people including others handicapped on how I believe in living as close to a normal life as is feasible.

How my shoulders wore out due to excess use (was told to stop playing any WC BB especially as point quard) a fragile joint gets used for everything, few live what hopefully will be 40 years after injury though. Think I mentioned how Reeves or Superman lived 9 yrs which when he died research told them that in some magic book 7 yrs was normal for him after injury. And how I overheard my Dr then tell a nurse I was already then 12 years beyond the apparently 22 years in the book for me (post injury and always measured that way). Also how my 1991 Caddy Deville was about dead and so old (due to needing a full size 2 door) and parts no even made for engine computer and parts that talk to it. Well fortunately I did not yet try to get fixed using junk yard parts as talked about with mechanic mid afternoon Weds of last week!

Ironically about an hour later when was leaving the local city to return home, in a 50 mph area the man ahead was cut off I assume stopping extremely fast so that I just barely stopped in time. Of course I hate traffic and especially those many who tailgate, if I leave correct space they cut in front of me? Why?? Anyway 2 women tailgating or just not looking did not make the required rapid stop! The 4th vehicle hit the 3rd behind me and together they plowed into me almost right after I'd stopped, hitting me so hard my rear bumber (1991 Caddys had a real bumper too!!) was pushed a foot forward so under my car and twisted as well. Even pushed me into the Van lightly who's jacked up bumper was over my hood but his hitch got my hood good (I thought the idea of a bumper was to avoid lights hit etc) I'm pretty sure if my car hadn't been totaled several times over, that I need a new working air bag! *LOL* I am pretty sure an impact that totals vehicles should deploy the bag. Instead I got a hard punch in the nose by my steering wheel, still hurts a bit but nothing broke. Was getting dark when the Police finished a detailed report and when I turned my garage lights on once parked and out in my wheelchair (I keep it folded behind the driver seat) I was shocked that the Police had me drive it home! Ins adjuster said do not drive unless a severe emergency like only the Hospital! *LOL*

So I've been searching the USA for a Car for over a week, there were only 26 like mine total in the USA, few 2 doors of that model were made and was last 2 door year. Of course one or two were well nice, but I know already there are no new parts computer related for them! Texas where I live and most live is most all SUVs and Pickups so there were no 2 door cars large to look at and see if my chair fits. Searching for 2 doors a coupe now apparently! *L* I know the only older cars well maintains are Caddys but did try many, about all that came up almost as big and in good shape whiie affordable was the late 90s Caddy Eldorados 1998 and 1999 mainly while very few without problems. I asked seller to put seat fully forward and measure the gap to back seats, I found most were "fancy" Touring Coupes and 15" I think due to thick leather? A few were a cheaper model which while still fancy had more standard seats just leather not "pillowed" etc. at 16". My totalled car is 18" but I do not have the seat anywhere near all the way forward. I only found a few of these which also were cheaper as a cheaper version, the first I saw was on ebay and cheapish since near while near perfect especially for a 1998 but does have the same miles as my totalled car at 136,000. A lot lot lot of miles but in great shape for 12 yrs old.

These have the North Star Engine which is very good for a long time if taken care of! The Intel of Car Engines!

The biggest issue is I've never seen one let alone tried to get my chair behind the seat once folded. I almost flew to the beach area in SC where the car is but a one way was extremely costly and listing ended Weds plus driving it 1100 miles home would have to be using my old temp controls. It was as low as $755 to ship door to door so I bought it and paid the $500 hold fee right away and am pulling the rest required into my account, still a lot to do including setting order with shipper as soon as the Seller gives me a day(s) for pickup. Once here I hope hand controls have been allowed ordered by Ins so can be installed!

Well I wrote a lot as is my problem always, Dane

Itd be a good Christmas present to you, and one deserved.
Hope it happens, and allows for a more open normal life for you as the more obstacles lifted away from you makes you a more productive person, as it does for all of us.

We have to assume server first, so Bulldozer at the start of July would equate to desktop in Jan/Feb 2011.

If Thuban is out before March I might believe it's possible. Any later and I have my doubts.

"Another thing proposed by FTC is simplification of x86 licensing agreements. Some have already expressed hopes that such liberalization will eventually let newcomers to produce x86 processors. Some even claim that Nvidia Corp., which has been hiring former Transmeta engineers for several quarters now, could become such an x86 newcomer."

Imagine Samsung gets into producing x86 chips. I wonder how that would affect AMD? More competitors means it'll be harder and harder to get sufficient market share to make a profit. AMD may have started a series of actions that could lead to their demise, not from Intel, but from other competitors. Interesting times ahead...

Also, being somewhat fabless, it makes AMD more flexable, much like LRB, no FF fabs heheh, whereas Intel has all those fabs, and needs to keep them filled, and AMDs profits rise as GF gets more business from all comers

Carefully analyze the reasons, apparently Core i3 performance is still good. However, Core i3 integrated graphics core has no difference with G45 integrated graphics core ,So there still is a clear gap with 785G, this lead to entire platform also less than ideal.

From this point, we need to wait for Intel next real update its integrated graphics design, until then Intels integrated platform is expected to be have real significant progress, thus bringing consumers a good choice. For now, there is no change in integrated platform situation,So AMD integration platform is still the best choice.

Twas the night before Christmas, when all thru the house
Not a critter was stirring, not even MonkeyMouse 😛

The mobos were hung by the coolers with care
In hopes that Bulldozer would soon be there

The fanbois were nestled all snug in their beds
While visions of catching up Intel danced in their heads

And Jenny in her sheepskin, and Jay in his toupee 😀
To St. Hector they had just started to pray

When out of the kitchen there came such a clatter
We thought maybe AFG had dropped her Veggie Platter!

But no it was just Jay, a-tryin' to install Flash
Because he was too cheep & had little cash :)

His ATI GPU had just busted a pin
Couldn't play an MPEG to save it from sin!

So off to the TV he flew like a bird
But all he could get was an Intelmercial which stunk like a turd

With a crack & a flash, on the TV what did appear
Why it was Hellboy with a 6-pack of beer!

And a handful of i7s, clutched ever so tight
And tight too was Hellboy - it had been a long night!

Despite the fake moustache that was just a zucchini
We knew in a moment it was really Paul Otellini!

In his red skin, all covered with flame
He whistled & shouted and called CPUs by name

"Now P4, now C2, now Nehalem & Westmere
Now Sandy Bridge, now Ivy Bridge and bring me more beer!"

"On Clarkdale, on Arrandale, on Larrabee too!
And on the FTC, I say dump a load of Poo!"

"To the top of the charts, to the top of all sellers
Now dash away, dash away, no more rebates for Dellers!"

So angry was Jenny that she yanked out the plug
And shouted at Jay who gave a sheepish shrug

"You can't be a true fanboy when you watch utter crap!
Now while my P2 encodes - I'm gonna take a lo-o-o-ong nap!"

So we all settled in for an evening by the fire
Which was actually just a QuadFX oc'd a bit higher 😛

When lo & behold down the chimney with a bound
Came Dirk Meyer, dressed up like Bozo the Clown!

His face was all red and his eyes were both crossed
And stuck in his beard were some GPUs he had lost

He wore gigantic shoes and his pants had huge pockets
Because 45nm CPUs need really big sockets!

The stump of a cigar was stuck in his teeth
Along with a ham and an old side of beef

It was quite obvious that no vegetarian was he
A huge disappointment to AFG & Jenn-ee 😛

He spoke not a word but went straight to his work
Out of the mobos the Intel CPUs he proceeded to jerk

And then he stuck in Semprons with a twist and a push
While cursing like Dick Cheney, or maybe George Bush!

Then laying his middle finger alongside his bulb nose
He flipped us the bird, while up the chimney he rose

"Take that, you Intelers, cuz we really need market share
At least 30 per cent, since that's only fair!

"Just ask the EC, Korea & Japan
The FTC, Cuomo and any other AMD fan!"

And then I heard him shout, before he flew off
"Merry Christmas to AMD, but to Intel a big scoff!"

-- Apologies to Henry Livingston 😀

And Merry Christmas to everybody, whether green or blue or in-between!

Here comes fazers
here comes fazers
here comes fazers on stun
He knows when Intels cheating, he knows when Dells been bought
But he hates to admit it, and has fought and fought and fought
Here comes fazers
here comes fazers here comes fazers on stun
When he starts his spinning, and when he starts his bashing
You know what side hes on, and thatll it be AMD hes trashing

Interesting article.

Clearly there's something up with the drivers or a playback software interaction, as VC1 decode was not accelerated in those tests and there's no reason it shouldn't have been.

Saying there was "no difference" with the G45 is a bit questionable, as the testing didn't exercise any of the video capability differences which have been highlighted in other pre-release reviews (bitstreaming of high-def audio codecs, dual stream decode acceleration). The competitive solutions have neither of these, though you could argue that they're enthusiast features. Also, where are the HD HQV tests?

Yea, its somewhat incomplete, and it may be theyre somewhat disappointed, but even so, they should have done the full gambit, or why do it at all?
This has been seen alot in AMD reviews, if its a disappointment, then theyll use different ram etc and maybe even point it out, but still leaves a level of disatisfaction in your mouth
