AMD build and BF3

Hi again all, thanks for the help last time, I have a question to anyone running a similar system to me who plays BF3.
First things first here is my system
Amd fx-8150 (OC’d 4.2ghz)
Asrock fatality mboard
16gb ddr3 ram (at 1600)
SSD x2 (one for windows, one for games)
Asus HD7970
H100 water cooler
850w Gold corsair psu
(Note I am running 3 monitors)
Windows gives my pc a rating of 7.7 with it only dropping on numbers for the HDD and the ram.. everything else is 7.8-7.9
When I play bf3 on ultra graphics (even on single screen), it seems to run a bit slow than I expected. Is there any reason for this… when I was using the 6970 it was running fine? Any ideas?
Or suggestions for improvement

Any OC on the 7970? Try OCing with msi Afterburner.

Make sure you have the right drivers.

Did you reinstall drivers after installing HD7970? If not, that's your issue.

Also, what kind of performance at what resolution are you getting?

Nope the card is not overclocked, I wouldn’t think u would need too for a card that beefy

Is the memory/gpu clock matched with the 6970?

ya i am usin CCC 12.3 and i did a fresh install, i am runnin at 1920x1080

As for the 6970, it was stock I never OC’d it, so I would assume it’s a little less than the 7970, also what are safe temps for the 7970, vitaminzed I noticed u have 2!

hey sorry for the late reply,

I fraps'd it, so with using msi after burner on full eyefinity resoultion at 5760x1080
with settings on ultra i got an average of 27 fps (solid)

with settings on high i got 35-40fps

with single screen at 1920x1080 on ultra its about 60-70. some times drops to 40 :S
