Hello everyone. I was going to buy a prebuilt PC from Cyberpower PC, but was persuaded by almost every video I watched to build my own. I've never built one myself before. My goal is to get 1080p 144hz. I want to overclock and push it safely as far as it can go. So far this is what I have in mind. Prices are just based off of amazon.

Games I want to / play: League, Dauntless, AAA games at minimum 60hz without dipping under.

Case: Still looking, I want a Full ATX for airflow I know that much.
MOBO: B450 - $119
CPU: Ryzen 7 2700 / 2700X - $209/$279 ( Comes with a cooler, but not sure how good it is.)
GPU: RX 590 8GB - $229
PSU: 650 /750 ? - $70 / $100
RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance - $75
SSD: 1TB Crucial - $119
OS: Windows 10 ( I saw a linus vid that said you can get it for free? granted its with a watermark but doesn't impact anything. Buying it isn't a problem though.)

2700 vs 2700x from what I researched its about 10% better for about 80$ more. Not sure if its worth for just 10%. I like to multitask while gaming and do a tiny (and I do mean tiny) bit of video editing so its why I chose R7. I want to play Dauntless with a friend, though reccomended is specs is an i7. RX590 competes with the GTX 1660ti which is slightly better, but for the price point is about $50 cheaper. PSU for watts needed with overclocking I checked the forums they said 650 was bare minimum so I'm guessing 700/750? Im trying to budget where I can, but spending a bit more for better performance is doable. As for brands of mobos / gpu I have no idea. I like ASUS rog strix but theyre so expensive. Gigabyte / MSI looks more budget friendly.

Help / feedback appreciated thanks guys.

Ahhh okay gotcha. So max 4 fans. Yeah once everything comes in and I build it I'll definitely play with you. If I have any questions or so I'll pm you if I get stumped on putting it together. Or I'll make another thread.

Oh also the cpu and gpu come with the division 2 for free idk if that deal is still happenejng but i got it 3 says ago soo

I know I'm a little late to the party, but if you haven't ordered yet, consider this.

You should go for a vega 56 if u have the budget it blows the 590 out of thr water also a ryzen 7 2700x is just the 2700 but factory overclocked. Also get a new cooler i can say those cpus run hoootttttt
Ryzen CPUs are programmed to run close to their thermal ceiling with XFR. The stock cooler will do just fine.
I see what u say but it isnt worth it to wait for r5 3600 its basically just a r5 2600x
In terms of clock rates the 3600 is the same as the 2600X, but it has 15% better IPC, so better performance overall.
Trust and go with the r7 2700x cores dont lie
A 2600X will do just fine too. Games don't usually use more than 4 threads effectively, and the 6 SMT'ed cores will provide you with enough overhead to have a lot of things running in the background. Because of its boost clock profile, it should outperform the 2700 (non-X) most for most games as well. If video editing is that important to you, go for the 2700, but normally the difference is best invested in a better GPU.

Thanks for your reply. I might try broadcasting to twitch later on for fun and I like to multitask while I game so I'm gonna stick with the 2700x since I can afford it. The jump from the Vega 56 - 64 is just to pricey for me. I saw the gigabyte vega 64 for 399, but the reviews on it even for the 56 seems bad. Something about the bios flash or so I'm not too techy to understand how much trouble that'll be as I have zero experience. Otherwise there's some refurbished 64's I've seen for $300 on newegg, but I'm almost positive thats more trouble then its worth, but at that price point it almost makes me want to take the risk. Almost.
