AMD build or Intel build gaming only!

Building a new pc for purely gaming this year. I'm on the fence about going either AMD or Intel. I have a budget of about 1000$ (power supply already purchased) 850W Thermaltake

Intel build
- i5 4690k
- z97 gaming 5
- EVGA SSC 970 Gtx
- corsair vengeance pro 8x2 GB 1600mhz
- SSD Samsung evo 250g
AMD build
- AMD FX 8350 or 8370
- Asus m5a99fx
- MSI R9 390 or R9 390x
- corsair vengeance pro 8x2 GB 1866mhz
- SSD Samsung evo 250GB

Feedback is much appreciated, I just want a good gaming pc to last me about 2-3 years.

Current games I play ( WoW, league of legends, BF4 , Fallout 4, etc..)

It's not necessary to combine AMD CPU with AMD cards and vice versa. The first build has a better CPU making it a better choice than the secons build.

The first is better. Really, excepting a few cases, AMD isn't really viable above $800 at the moment.
