Thanks so much. I will try these in the morning & hopefully all goes well.
- Unplug everything extra (USB drives, external HDDs, printer, etc.) and only keep keyboard/mouse while installing.
- Go into BIOS and set the SATA mode to AHCI if it isn’t already. Sometimes “IDE/RAID” causes freezes.
- If you’re installing from a USB, try recreating the installer with Rufus or use a different USB port.
- Remove extra RAM sticks (just leave one) during install weirdly this sometimes fixes Windows 7 freeze issues.
- Make sure your HDD/SSD is healthy. If possible, run a quick test on it.
