Hmmm, I just replaced my 8800GT for a GTX260 with 896MB of RAM - Runs pretty damn good for me. Although, I didn't fork any money out for it, technically speaking. Always nervous to "jump" on new products based on past experiences. Man, I remember my NVIDIA Geforce 2 Ultra - sweet! Hope AMD is releasing a card that actually MAKES A DIFFERENCE. Uggh

Did you check out the new upcoming Catalyst 9.8 drivers? Big news there (gaming improvements) with an AMD CPU combined with their graphics cards.
[citation][nom]meatwad53186[/nom]Damnit haha. Just my luck... looks like I should return that brand new 4890 that should arrive at my house on wednesday and wait just a little longer.[/citation]
SIGH! I got my 4890 over a month ago, I love it to death but i was really waiting on the 5xxx series, but couldn't wait much longer 🙁
I know we are all hoping and wishing the cards are spectacular, so that Nvidia will release something similar and the battle for best card will keep prices reasonable and keep both companies driving forward.
It will be very interesting when Larabee is introduced to the mix as well.
