[citation][nom]Cryogenic[/nom]DirectX 11 is the most anticipated directx version by me ever. It's about time to show some PC muscles to all those console gamers, and about time for a PC comeback ...[/citation]
As wonderful as that sounds it will have nothing to do with DX11. Quality titles and lots of them would help, along with hardware that was more easily attainable/useable/appropriate for the masses. Don't forget that DX10 was supposed to be fantastic and the very few titles released under it were all just as good in DX9.
[citation][nom]JeanLuc[/nom]DX11 games have been in development for a long time the first DX11 games are due out before the end of the year and the show piece DX11 title Starcraft 2 due Q1 2010.[/citation]
No, no, no. Crysis was under development (along with the first Call of Juarez and Lost Planet) as a DX10 title. The first gen of DX10 hardware couldn't run the games well and overall it wasn't worth the premium. DX11 games might have been in development but it doesn't mean they are good, or that they're not going to be more concerned with reaching a mass audience. StarCraft 2 will be as graphically sub-par as every other Blizzard release just so that it will be playable on EVERYTHING under the sun. At the most you'll get some stupid particle/lighting/stupid effect that no one cares about. Plus, it won't be out in Q1 of 2010. The chances of even having a SOLID StarCraft 2 release date by Q1 2010 are worse than the chances I'll sprout wings and fly away after winning the Powerball lottery.
