Globalfoundries really seems like it's run by Intel insiders, sabotaging every release and creating supply problems. AMD really needs to either get rid of them and just outsource (TSMC) or investigate Globalfoundries from the bottom top and try find out why they suck.

So AMD is still forecasting growth. Just not as much. Growth is good right? I mean, bigger growth is better, sure... but bottom line: Growth is good and is happening. Also, supply pipeline issues indicates just a delay in growth, so the same growth as originally forecast should still occur.

[citation][nom]CaedenV[/nom]In fact you could. I have run win7 on a P3 just fine (1GHz and maxed out at 2GB of ram), and 8 is even lighter on the CPU. The OS is not all that taxing on the processor, you just need a good amount of Ram (2GB+ 32bit, 4GB+ 64bit, a modern HDD or storage device to run on, and a good GPU to turn on the pretty lights. Most tablets coming out next year will do this with no problem.[/citation]

Unless you have two processors, and a Tualatin, it runs like a dog on anything involving video, and takes a week to bring up OpenOffice.

1 GHz is too slow. A pair of 1.4 GHz runs fine though.

[citation][nom]halcyon[/nom]Come on AMD. Intel did 32nm long ago...so can you, you can do, we know you can.[/citation]
AMD can't because they were short sided when they decided to spin off their in-house fab capabilities. Now they're stuck in the mud while Intel can R&D like mother-effers.

Now I see why it's called "Bulldozer". Bulldozers are very slow moving machines which explains the delay. The "Bull" part explains the promise to release it on time is actually "Bull". The "Dozer" part is the people having a nap.

[citation][nom]madjimms[/nom]I find it rather stupid how investors drop stocks when the slightest problem arises. If they were smart they would invest MORE so the company could have more money to FIX the problem & [/citation]
Sometimes known as "throwing good money after bad".
