amd fx 8300 avg. Idle and Load temp??

Solution

running a evo212 (air) 1.38v 4.4ghz fx-8350 black and i defo have a problem with heat running a r9290
< 1% 33c
< 10% 40c
> 90% 63c @10 minutes
% = ultilization of the entire cpu.
so i would say your temp of 45c is something tobe jelous off.. or you need todo some more testing try prime95 using all cores
at about 67c is where you should freakout about livespan. at about >70 it melting down.
no fx chip is the same.. they all come with what it seems a random voltage.. witch in turn make it perform and act difrent..

you cant compare your fx with the next exsact same cpu. also your psu and board plays a role in temperture, stability and performance witch basicly meens your cpu voltage, higher voltage meens more of those 3, but it isnt that simple as no cpu is the same when it comes to settings and hardware combo's
so i wonder if you might have set a lower VID voltage, or running savemode bios defaults.. its always sort of a risk, but you might get some more torq by trading some celcuis, you defo have some to trade with.

Solution
Please note, there are CPU temps measured in two places, Core and package. They give different temps. Core at 62c should start throttling while package temp is possible to push to 90c before shutting down. FX chips don't have temperature sensors for every core, it's one for all cores.
