That is a good combo for 1080p/60 Hz gaming w/o bottleneck. Had that combo myself for awhile.

Worth it? That is going to depend on what you pay for the 8350 and what you can sell your 6300 for. For modern games, somewhat worth it yes. Maybe 20% or so increase in performance. The newer games can make better use of the extra threads. If you can OC the CPU, even more so. The 8350 is definitely a better match for the GTX 970.
