One morning, I started my computer, only to realise that my cpu is locked at a multiplier of x7, resulting in a 1.36Ghz - Windows reported speed / 1.406Ghz Cpu - Z -"-. What should I do?
Methods I've tried:
- "slow mode" switch checking
- CMOS clearing
- setting a manual multiplier/ slightly increasing bus speed
I am currently using:
- Noctua U9B SE2 cooler
- Zalman Z3 Plus case, with decent air flow (2 intakes, 2 exhausts)
- MSI 970 motherboard (with the latest available bios version)
- Zalman ZM700-LX 700W psu
*lately, I have noticed an oily spill right under my vrm/vrm heatsinks location, however, after doing some research, I realised that it shouldn't have affected neither my board or my CPU
