AMD gpu works only with intel drivers

I have an old HD 6850 and the last days had some serius issues...Sometimes it crashed in random times when I was playing games and 2 days now it stucks always after windows login...

I installed new windows just to check it but the same issue appeared...The strange thing is that after I made a change in bios and I deactivated integrated graphics the graphic card worked PERFECT with Intel 4400 drivers...

How is that possible? Is the card faulty or its something else?

Note that I never did any updated...I always used the same drivers

If you haven't loaded any AMD drivers then it is most likely using the basic windows supplied drivers for your card, not the intel. I imagine the intel drivers are for your onboard video. You can try updating the AMD drivers, you may get some extra performance plus a few extra features.

Its not the basic driver...the games works perfect! If i try to install correct drivers it freeze instantly before it complete the instalation...note also that the device manager sees the gpu as intel 4400

I'm not sure why the device manager would should show an AMD card as an Intel 4400, that is bizarre. I guess if it works as is then that's a good thing.

Probably got the monitor cable plugged into the motherboard and not the GPU.

You did plug your monitor into the gpu right?
