Ah, but what do you do with a mentally handicapped person who has a live firearm? Pity may not help them understand the damage they might do or have done.
The old saying goes "the pen is mightier than the sword", and while Baron has neither a firearm or sword in this forum, he certainly does have the equivalent of a pen, and the potential for him to do damage, whether wittingly or otherwise is real.
Hmmmmmmm AMD has been on a loosing run since the A64.....what - wait they say another fool posting rubbish.....JJ please help them.
Im a LONG TIME hardware oem - yes - OEM....been playing with computers longer than most of this forum members have been alive - certainly can bore to tears all those except a select few on here.
Id like to say 2 things if I may.
1) BM and 9" are techs - they are clearly idiots - but they are techs, they speak too loosely on topics not to be.
2) JJ and DSN - you have finally seen how to help them.
Otherwise let intel rule as they are the owners of X86 and since they only have 2 more years to be rulers in this archaic era let them have it - this does not mean amd will have a hope in hell as they can never do so - but they can REDEFINE the game that is played.
The real winners in the pc game will be the original players - they are the only ones with the passes.
Intel and Matrox.
What AMD can and will do is to launch an Xbox / pos / wiiiiii competitor......
Think about it for more than 1s and you can see where this is headed....Amd cannot compete in intels OWN playpen.
Anyway - sorry all.......bit light headed and needed to let out some of my annoyance here......apologies all round.....ps 9"......NINE>......or is it 9<///////

Amd will REINVENT the game that is being played - but they cannot win the x86 game - that is impossible. Ill expand a little shall I.....M$ will be gone in 5 yrs.....intel will be with IBM and linux / osx or whatever flav will be prevelent. Amd - well amd will be playing games - the same as they always have.

You might want to tone that down. The mods will be on the lookout for any kids of harshness or foolishness. You could end up getting banned.
Erm - was that for me ?.....didnt think I was being that harsh by pointing out I had been misinterpreted already !.
Sorry again - not really with it enough - but thinking that in the future things will be VERY different indeed as amd have already promised.

Pc's arent going to stop - neither will your love of them. But they will steadily head back into the realm of business and only the toys will remain in the living room. Think.....or dont.....

i agree on that. who knows wre we will be (as far as computers)
go. with ati and amd and now maybee intel and nvidia.
And this is all I meant ! - basically leaving Matrox to the professional level all on their own again.
Cpu - Gpu - Fpu - Spu - Ppu - hang on.....XPU......
This is where JJ should make a comment on how all of the stupid designers will eventually get back into bed together to make a general purpouse non constrained (ala x86 or dx) processing unit.....or brain.
Back once again to the way things were.
