AMD’s upcoming RX 7650 GRE, following the GRE name tradition from other China-specific GPU SKUs, has changed its name in the new year. No longer the Year of the Rabbit, GRE now stands for “Golden Radeon Edition” per AMD.

Umm, those references to 9700 GRE are supposed to be 7900 GRE, I presume?

They should have just used "Dragon" for the Chinese-market-focused models as then they wouldn't have to change the name for each animal of the year. That and if it did sell elsewhere, it would sound more globally-appealing.

AMD... I mean... Sure, the "GRE" branding was actually good since the 7900GRE is indeed your best card for price concious people, but... Isn't this just forcing it a bit? LOL.

On the upside, at least this actually means something! XTX? XT? Yeah... GTO was a good one, same with LE and LT.
