News AMD kills 'Golden Rabbit Edition' GRE branding, renames it 'Great Radeon Edition

They should have just used "Dragon" for the Chinese-market-focused models as then they wouldn't have to change the name for each animal of the year. That and if it did sell elsewhere, it would sound more globally-appealing.

Kind of like, oh, I don't know... anymore remember the Soyo Dragon motherboards?

Edit: Oh, and wait! The Soyo name is still alive in the Chinese market, selling new motherboards under it:

AMD... I mean... Sure, the "GRE" branding was actually good since the 7900GRE is indeed your best card for price concious people, but... Isn't this just forcing it a bit? LOL.

On the upside, at least this actually means something! XTX? XT? Yeah... GTO was a good one, same with LE and LT.
