AMD looks to revive the math co-processor

This rumor has been floating around for a couple years now. I remember seeing something a long time ago about ClearSpeed. Originally it was ClearSpeed's idea to incorporate their tech into CPU's and systems.

Intel and ClearSpeed already have some sort of joint product out there.

If AMD can license it for a reasonable price and it boosts performance, why not? It has obvious uses in clusters and supercomputing applications.

I embrace it! Although, I'd be much more interested in seeing a Physics co-processor like Ageia's PhysX. Save the add on cards though- i wanna see it on a video card or motherboard.
