Hello everyone,

AMD needs your help

As we continue to improve our Catalyst Driver suite, for the next 7 days we are making a concerted effort to increase the number of reports we receive to create a “bible” of bugs/issues encountered by our customers to help us make our Catalyst Driver better.

We kindly ask you to help us by submitting any issues or bugs you have experienced with our drivers by using the special submission form below. Note that this form (which closes on Sept 12), is different from the standard Issue Reporting Form we regularly use; therefore I ask that you use this form even if you used another form already.

Please click here to access the form.

Thank you very much!

You've got a point there.

At least they have this kind of support towards their customers and their doing something about it than not doing anything at all.

Once the next R9 300 series comes out, I'll be selling this R9 280X of mine too.

Might even move to Nvidia. Just because they support SLI on windowed mode and CrossFireX don't at all.

amd never been one for moving fast and a announcement of a new item is dang near on its release day

I built amd for 14 years and now I went intel I still use amd vid cards but that will change when I need another card . its sad I feel I need to wash my hands of them . maybe they will look them selves over and make a change for there better but right now I don't see it for me

I've got an Intel chip and AMD GPU also. I'm really satisfied with them. The only problem I'm having is that their CF does not support games on windowed mode.

my issue was no where to go with amd -- had am3+ from when it first came out upgraded it all I felt I should.. then when I wanted to do a new build I just could not see buying back in to the past I mean been there done that and nothing new up to date with them same old chips same old boards 4 years latter?? no , time to move on from them until something changes and I don't see it with them

as far as the vid cards it really comes down to who got what offered at the time I am ready to buy .. if amd cards are at the top for the money then its more then likely amd if its NVidia well then its NVidia .. I just go with what I feel offers the better card at the time I buy

Agreed.

I was running the 13.xx drivers with out any issues and was helping a guy here and seeing all the 14.xx issues threads coming in I got them and installed them to see what the deal was with the 14.xx .. well that was a mistake I started to get a crash of atidxxdll32 in ie when I closed it out and so I removed the 14.xx driver went back tried all the 13.xx drivers and the issue stayed with me and cant resolve .. I fooled with that issue till I just figured I would have to reinstall windows to fix ..

so I figured if and when I had to do all that I would just grab a NVidia card and not risk amd screwing me over twice [opinion]

Which is the best driver in your opinion? I want to try it out.

I'm on 14.9.1 Beta at the moment and I really want to try out older ones.

pretty mush did all I could think of and what I could find online about it and after months of tinkering around with it to resolve it I came to the conclusion it affected something deep in core windows or something and determined that I would have to do a fresh windows install to fix..

its really not that major issue but it just enough to piss me off at times

I would have never install it but I needed to see what the deal was to help a guy out - its hard to talk things up if you don't experience it to see for your self

the sad thing is what ever it broke its not so far been fixable for me as of 3 months of tinkering and have yet to find a root cause so far

oh well these things happen and I just move on its not like the first time something's bit me in some way and i'll get over it
