[citation][nom]crysex[/nom]Not a fan of AMD. When does the GTX 600 series coming out?[/citation]

Apparently, the high-end 600 series will come out end 2012 or start 2013. Far too late for me.
I am building a rig starting next year and I am getting the best there is at that time, so AMD it is. I'll be waiting for Ivy bridge though.

Usually with this much next gen GPU talk, the competitor will put out some hints and try to rain on the parade... Where are u Nvidia? That said, im excited to upgrade my 5870

Wow... I like my 6970 (unlocked 2GB 6950 - 890/1400), but Damn..these cards are looking really serious. over 2000+ shaders at over 900mhz stock and ~275Gb/s bandwidth... ahh...I'll be taking a look at these puppies for sure 😀

Then what are you doing on the post? No one cares about your stupid feelings.

The only reason I would get a 7950 is if it would perform better than 6850 CF with lower power consumption. Other than that I don't see the justification in the prices of the new cards. And looking at 7970's TDP it does not seem to be looking good in power consumption department.

[citation][nom]kelvinty[/nom]300W TDP? A little bit too much for me...(I know it doesn't run at around 300W all the time, but seriously?)[/citation]
I don't care if it is 800W TDP, if the performance warrants the power consumption then it gets two thumbs up from me. This is for higher end gaming machines, not media center PCs.

Still dude they shrink the die it should consume less power not as much.

Which one of these girls is the 300W TDP Nancy?

I still stand by my declaration. If the performance increase warrants the power cosumption increase then there is no problem. Wait for the benchmarks and then claim it isn't worth it. I want a high end gaming card, not a whisper quiet vagina, to install into my new high end gaming machine.

And dude ahead dont say you have a 6970 , you have a 6950 overclocked jesus , if i got a civic and boost it like a porche i dont say people i have a porche.

And who's jealous now? I have a GT3, but prefer to drive my Evo X. Just as fast and better gas milage after all the mods I put in. Same as 6950, why pay for 6970 when you can get it for cheaper price and a bios change. Damn, you sure are intelligent, comparing a Porche 911 Carrera (6950 2gb) to a Porsche GT3 (6970). Same damn GPU, just slightly dumbed down for ignorant phules like yourself...

Going to be sick! And only $750! Lol!

300W isn't bad, I'm probably using more than that between my two OCed 5850s... so, dropping in a single much faster card would be a win for sure!

Just gotta wait for the hydro version...

[citation][nom]srgess[/nom]blabla amd teasing again but now they added girls with boobies amd logo, maybe they will sell more even if the product is shit , its always winner at when the strip pole dancer with amd pole logo. The spec look promising but ... And dude ahead dont say you have a 6970 , you have a 6950 overclocked jesus , if i got a civic and boost it like a porche i dont say people i have a porche.[/citation]

Well, I got a Porsche under the shell of a Civic....

This is an intelligent attitude, and it is extraordinarily unfortunate that the masses don't seem to agree with you. How else could the big two hegemons get away with milking us so badly for so long? The card that should replace the $150 6850 will instead replace the $500 69xx, with the new $150 card having metrics similar to the existing $150 card. It's what they did last generation, and it's what they will continue to do as long as the sheeple keep drinking their koolaid. Enthusiast has become a term used by morons for morons.

Not jealous just saying dont say you have something you dont have, the rest i dont care i know its better to get a 6950 im not stupid i have a spaceship but i prefer use my jet because its more economic along as my gtx590 (gtx 560x2 overclocked in my liquid nitrogen bath)

It shouldn't take the wattage of a hair dryer to play games, even on excellent settings. I want to see 6970 performance on the power requirements of a 6850; 6850 performance on the requirements of a 6670. THOSE improvements would be nice. The card I have can play all my games maxed, so it isn't GPU muscle I need.
