i bumped up my pci to 150 from 100, stress tested gpu using msikombuster and cpu with p95 at same time for 10min and i got no bsod or errors.
(settings
1090t@3.75g@1.35v
fsb 250
pci 150
nb 3g@1.35
ht 3g
ram 1666,cl9,1t@1.6v (stock is 1600,cl9,2t @1.5v)
gpu hd6770 @960/1380)

So to confirm that it is running at 150 i checked its value in amdoverdrive and it was 150.
It is not causing stability issue even at 150 (as many stated that it cause too much stability issue even with 115), so is it working correctly or is there something wrong.

Also how to boost performance of sata2 and usb2 ports via oc.

Ahh help
TX3 not in stock at my MC

so
which would you pick
considerations
do not want to pull mobo
92mm or bigger
would like to do push pull

this looks like my best bet

http://www.microcenter.com/single_ [...] id=0384029

but also this one looks interesting

http://www.microcenter.com/single_ [...] id=0310123

I can just barely afford this one but if it is worth I can do it
http://www.microcenter.com/single_ [...] id=0335876

great sale on that corsair

now does the Hyper 212+ need to have a mounting plate or just clip on AM3 socket
http://www.microcenter.com/single_ [...] id=0315397

description didnt say

I am sorry to bother you guys but your help is really needed
I can copy and paste to a thread to get you a BA

try running a GPU bench like Unigine Heaven with PCI on 100 and 150 and see if there is a difference
also try tightening up timings on ram
if you are at 9-9-9-27 try going to 8-8-8-24 and see if stable
though timings dont make that much of performance difference
might want to lower NB/HT down a little and see if you can push higher cpu clock

I cut and pasted that from Idle Chat thread in Toms Network
so links messed up

okay
went to microcenter
decided I will just pull mobo (I was in lazy mood but overcame it)
so i was going to get the Hyper 212+ non-evo for 29.99
but at 158mm a little too tall for my 7.x inch case to take a chance
so they had the Hyper n520 dual 92mm 5 heatpipe micro brushed copper plate
for 39.99 minus a $10 MIR=29.99
plus it included the second 92mm with it
and I was going to have to buy a second 120mm for the Hyper 212
so actually the N520 is cheaper after $10 rebate

so now in a 69F room
old max temp at 3.5ghz was 62-63c with Hyper 101a dual pipe 80mm push pull
new max temp at 3.5ghz is 53-54c with Hyper n520 five pipe 92mm push pull

very happy now :)
great learning experience
tried a CM Vortex 92mm low pro (lame)
tried a CM Hyper 101a 80mm push pull box (for $15 great deal)
now CM Hyper N520 92mm push pull box final cost $29

now I cant try to push 3.6ghz with the trusty PHII x 4 925 2.8ghz stock
<maniacal mad scientist laughter>

bwaa-haa bwaa-haa
I didnt realize during P95 testing that my push in my push-pull wasnt running
max temps in 70f room are 51-52
in 69f room w/o push they were 53-54
so in 69f room I would be about 49-50c max
Awesome

now got to decided if I will benchmark Handbrake vs CCC VIdeo converter or try OCing to 3.6ghz
hmm decision decisions.......

@king
 that "Unigine Heaven" will cost me around 250mb of network traffic but i am using my mobile :??: to connect to internet and thus it will take around 😴 4-5 :fou: hours for download, so is their any other alternative that will cost less traffic. 😗 (around 50mb). :ange:

Sorry for late posting,
screenrider.jpg

multi only clock, I think voltage was around 1.45v (psu overvolted on auto)
not really stable, windows was fine, as soon as I opened explorer or any benchmarking program bad things happened 😛
i only thought of posting here after I read in a thread that 975's don't usually post after 4.2/4.3GHz, maybe one day I'll get bored and try tweaking to get 4.4GHz stable (fingers crossed😛)

**Edit, posting this at 4.4GHz 😛
44GHz.jpg

idling at 38'c, which is way higher than I like, but I'm virus scanning and on here with no issues yet,
it also let me play WoW, temps at 52'c, if I can play WoW, I call it stable hehe 😛**
temps in middle of screen are ambient and water

I have used Furmark GPU stress test and benchmark
http://www.ozone3d.net/benchmarks/fur/

or 3dmark11
http://www.3dmark.com/3dmark11/
though this one is larger

how about cinebench 11.5
http://downloads.guru3d.com/CineBENCH-11.5-download-2475.html

when I do my final test for stability
I run furmark GPU stress test at the same time I run Prime95
this way you can really see the temps in your system by running the GPU %100 with the CPU at %100
do that for a half hour
if your system can handle that then it should handle any game easily

CPU: AMD FX-6100
Name: stickg1
Stepping: B2
Frequency: 4323
ref*multi: 201 x 21.5
CPU voltage: 1.35
NB Freq: 2200
NB volt: 1.18
RAM: 2 x 4GB Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz 9-9-9-24 @ 1.55v
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-990XA-UD3
Cooling: Air- Zalman 9900MAX
OS: Windows 7 64-bit

I've gone as high as 4.8ghz but I wasn't comfortable with the temps. This setup maxes out around 65C in prime95.

I do not think that overclocking the FX-Bulldozer chips should even count.
there should be a test on actual IPC statistics to see how much the FX isn't working...

True, hey with that 965BE can you run RAM over 1333mhz? I'm ordering a 980BE before they're out of stock forever and wondering if I can run my RAM at 1600mhz.

cool, yeah i've gotten increasingly paranoid with the bulldozer not getting fixed so I'm ordering the 980BE and possibly returning my FX-6100 because I've had it for less than a month.

i was building my Rig to sell on the strength of BD, as soon as it came out i went to the 975 as a backup and resigned myself to having an unintended upgrade 😛
Moto

definitley better with the 1090T
my next CPU upgrade will hopefully be a Thuban BE or a Zosma and try to unlock it
I WANT MOAH CORES!
6 cores at 4ghz would be sweet

agree with ipc

but, hey, everyone can share their overclocks even if ipc is not that good.

I think that bd looses its 25-30% pereormance when using a full module, (means if a single thread is working at 100% then a module should give 200% performance but only able to give 140-150%)

taking bd's ipc as a base then ph2 have 1.2x and sb have 1.7x performance.

Oh btw,
is there any cooler that have a design of noctuanhd14 and a height of 5'' max.😛
as my case is small and my stock heatsink is unable to handle that cpu even at 3.8g stock voltage.
Also that stock heatsink is blowing hot air on my ram and friying it, my ram is becoming a dish named 'ram fry'.🙁,thats why i want a noctuanhd14 type design.

did you check out a Hyper N520?
5 6mm heatpipes and comes with two 92mm fans in push pull
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103057&Tpk=hyper%20n520
only stands 141mm (Hyper 212 is 158mm)

I tried out a Hyper 101a dual 80mm push pull mini box (good for $15 LOL)
a Hyper Vortex Plus 92mm flat low profile
and then went with the N520
the Hyper 212+ is just too tall for my 7.5 case
the NH-D14 is also 158mm
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835608024

so maybe a 141mm Hyper N520 will fit

temps are great
went from a max 62c to max 51c with a PHII Deneb at 1.52v with the N520
it let me up my OC from 3.4 to 3.5
and temp wise I can OC higher
(I can use desktop at 3.6 but P95 crashes)

My Hyper TX3 with the plastic fan-mount clips allowed me to mount the "push" fan a little higher than stock so that I could clear the HS on my ram in the first slot.

The Hyper N520 doesn't look like it will alow for that. But If you don't have to clear ram in the first slot, it looks like it has a little more HS area.

so is that mean that that 520 have a height of 142mm from copperbase to top of heatsink (as space between my cpu's top and case cover is only around 5'')
also is that can handle a 1090t at 170-200w (4ghz) when room temp is 30'c.

Also whenever i try to run opencl gpu benchmark on cenebench11.5 i always get a error stating 'red dots.... Error... and bla... bla....' so how to deal with it?
Gpu is sapphire hd6770 850/1200mhz

well 30c is extreme for ambient room temp
that has got to be around 76f from rough calc in my head (C x 1.8 + 32)
Hyper N520 is 5.5 inches high or 141mm

I just did an extreme torture test
room temp 69F
PhII x 4 925 stock 2.8 OCd to 3.5ghz 1.52v
Hyper N520 at 1800rpms
Scythe Ultra Kaze 120mm 2800 rpm exhaust
Two CM Sickleflow 120mm intakes
One Antec TriCool 80mm 3spd fan on high side intake over GPU

HD 5770 stock 850/1200 @ 900/1300
%80 percent usage with ATI Tray Tools GPU Stress Renderer open

Prime95 64bit Blend test with all 4 cores at 100 percent

ran test for 20mins (13:54 start time in P95-windows time finished at 2:14pm)

max CPU temp 52c settled in at 50-51c
max GPU temp 63c
room temp 69F
