OK guys, here's an update. I wasn't quite stable so I did have to change a few things around but did still manage to hit 4.83GHz stable, mainly by decreasing the multiplier to 21 and increasing the base clock to 230. So 21x230 instead of 23x210. To achieve this I did have to turn down my NB and RAM a bit to keep them stable, but worth it. I think if I upgrade my RAM I will be able to get RAM/NB to 1840/2760, but I'm good with this for now. Voltages got really high. I'm going to turn them down and I'm pretty sure it will still be stable, but I didn't feel like spending another 2 hours doing that just to submit a result with lower voltages. I'm also gonna try increasing the multiplier to 21.5, but I'm fine with just submitting this score. So, here it is with validation and everything.

The stability test can be do it with 2 hours on any of this progmras: Prime95, LinX, OCCT or y-cruncher in stress test mode*

* Launch the program, press 2, enter, 0, enter, x GB (x being nearly how much RAM your system has free according to task manager), and press enter. The program will periodically indicate how much time has been consumed for the testing.

It doesn't need to be in that specific order, but don't post just a screenie, it makes it much slower for me to update, and i don't have enough info to fill in many of the spaces. Thanks in advance

Posts with no verification of stability (screenie) were not added to the list, furthermore, posts a CPUz validation only were added to the 2nd table. If you wish to be added to the list. Follow the above format and post a screenshot verifying stability.

This Tread/Posting has turned into a useless pile of inconsequential information. Since the actual list has not been updated since long before I found it and my every day OC is over what some that has been placed on it ( proof has been provided), it has become a moot thread and for anyone to post artificial numbers that can not be confirmed.

Unless someone actually plans on updating the list, My vote/opinion is a closed thread on this.

complete noob to overclocking. What do I need to do to get started? I feel I have the right system, check my signature line, but dont know how to OC. Can someone help?

does windows 7 32 or 64 matter?

Doesn't surpass 55-56*C CPU but V-Core runs at 62*C. Not pushing it much more until I get an internal fan blowing at the MOSFET's Heatsink. This is very stable for me-never crashes.
(I can get it cooler if I custom set my fans all at 100% 😀 but it's a little loud-I like it quieter for night time gaming.)

Ran Prime95 Torture Test for this screenshot, I've run the regular test for 4 hours-CPU is cooler with it but no screenshot. It never changes after the first 3 minutes of the CPU warming up-everything lasts for 4 hours (longest I've tested it).

Edit: Forgot to mention, I used a different Thermal Compound.

You can for CPU-Z just press validate->submit, and it'll bring you to a page with the picture. Bottom right it'll say copy this BB code below. So copy the line under it and put it in the post.
As for a screenshot, simply press print screen on your keyboard or -not sure if 7 has it, havent used it in a while, but on Windows 8 there's a thing called "Snipping Tool" which will do it all automatically. But yea, you press print screen, paste into paint or something else. Save the image and upload it to a site such as image shack, then there are numerous things you can do to put the image into your post.
I prefer to (right click-copy image url) from the thumbnail, put that into the post and put a url over from the whole picture to the original image. This way it's cleaner for the forums and readers.

I had posted earlier (page 27) in the thread and mentioned that if i had better voltage regulation I could drop the CPU V-core and here is the proof. Last post had my voltage at 1.52 stable and now have 1.416 stable with a very minor bump in clock speed almost to little to mention. The NB frequency has much improved with the old being 2310 and new being 2638. I did keep the same cpu but will soon be giving it to my kid for his rig and grabbing an FX 8350 and seeing how that one OC's.

Prime 95 proof will come when it is done ( running now ) but over 2 hours and 20 minutes of Intel burn test should be enough.

EDIT: Proof of 2 hours of Prime95 Stability

Just a heads up for Phenom II OCers
raising your NB frequency will really help performance
on some CPUs you can reach 3000 mhz
I keep my 1100T Black Edition at 2800mhz
if you run Cinebench 11.5 you can actually see improvements in score as your NB Frequency raises
dont worry too much about HT speed
doesnt do much for performance.
I raise it a little to 2400mhz but anything over that doesnt give performance increase
this is a good thread to read through if you havent seen it
