Still didn't pass 768MB. Can I assume the fact that windows hasn't frozen means it's not far off stable? And do 10-10-10-24 now?

And yeah get everything stable at 2T before trying to switch to 1T

Did you already have a stable 2 hour run using "All" memory with your current CPU clocks before playing with the RAM?

If it is just the RAM that's causing the problem you could maybe fix it by upping the RAM voltage a little bit but I'm not sure if that would be harmful or not since it's rated for 1.5V. Maybe try 1.53V?

EDIT: Before playing with your RAM settings though have you confirmed stability since you changed the NB and HT link frequencies?

Put the ram back to 1333 for the mean time, I might start a new thread to OC it. In response to the voltages, I though vengeance was meant to run at 1.5V for 1600? =/

And yes I have had it stable since I changed nb/ht.

@Rrruby--->With that RAM your probably gonna have to loosen the timings to get 1T stable...unless you bump the RAM voltage a bit to say 1.55v...Have you checked your DIMM's for errors with memtest? How much vdroop do you get when testing?

EDIT: Just looking back your voltages are a little on the low side for 3.8 GHz on that chip. IMO...I would just bump the vcore to at least 1.425v in BIOS....I believe that this may be your stability issue....Also in the future Rrruby, make a new thread in the OC section for these types of things...like Mal suggested

I will start a new thread when i get round to sitting down and concentrating on the ram. My vcore is at 1.44V, set at 1.37 in the bios. If I set it to 1.4V in bios, CPUZ and HW monitor say I'm at 1.6V. I shut it down pretty quick when it said that ;)

Okay, I've solved the voltage thing.
Different programs show different things. AIDA64 says I'm at 1.3V, a reinstalled CPU-Z is insistant it's 1.43V, Sandra is saying 1.3V.
The bios shows CoreVID as 1.300V, but it shows CPUCoreVID as 1.432V. Still not sure why it's 1.432 when it's set to 1.37, but I want it at 1.43, so its all good I think.

So, you set it at 1.37v in BIOS and its operating at 1.44v...Then you bump it 30mV and it jumps to 1.6v...The MOBO goes from upping it 70mV to upping it 200mV ....Hmmm, somethings fishy with that

try raising your NB up
the higher the better
if you need to lower your HT speed below 2000 to something like 1600mhz that is fine
the HT speed wont affect performance
the NB raised up will give you a nice boost in performance
I have my NB at 2800 and my HT at 1600 and that is how I score the highest in Cinebench 11.5
you might have to raise you NB voltage up
I have mine at 1.22v
I wouldnt go any higher than 1.25v maximum
that is a good overclock though
good job

2800 @1.22v  , thats good, mine demands 1.35v for anything above 2400 and does not boot at nb multi above 12 :(

@akash--> I assume that you are using the stock heatsink and fan...75c is crazy HOT for that chip....BTW...My NB is at 2800 MHz using 1.21v and CPU-NB voltage is 1.23v...I would raise the HT to at least 2000 MHz its a place that'll end up bottlenecking your OC....

@mal---> It is never too late to come back to the AMD side...lol...J/King

@king smp:raising my nb to what value approx or exact value for it.Because i am afraid that i might damage my cpu.Sorry for the incnvenience caused if any.

@akash--> You are going to have to buy an aftermarket heatsink and fan if you are going to be overclocking your CPU...75c will KILL the CPU quickly...No more than 60c ever....As for the multiplier I would not overclock a system without an aftermarket heatsink and fan combination....Seriously, get one before overclocking....$30 USD ...Cooler Master Hyper 212+...I do not know where you are from but $30.00 USD seems cheap insurance against KILLING your system...HEAT KILLS AS DOES VOLTAGES....YOU ARE RUNNING IT WAY TOO HOT !!!!!!
