hwinfo32, core temp, amd overdrive, real temp
all of these shows same reading and are right, because i am using a stock cooler in a crappy case in a hot and dusty room 😉

as i will be sitting on a cute, calm and sweet 😉 i3 2/3rd gen clocked @3.5+ghz,
so maybe i gonna ditch that b!t©h
this b!t©h is too hot to handle or maybe that's my influence 😀
but i keep her cool by lowering clock speed to 3.2@1.15v which idles at 45'c (hot room)

that must be a hot room truegenius

@stickg1-UH UH I like my 1100T very much thank you LOL dreamt about having one for a long time and she is mine all mine
using Handbrake today was a beautiful thing
way over 300FPS transcoding to 720x480 X264/MP4
a 1100T for under $200 is the best deal in CPUs for a video editing/encoding workstation

Hey again all :)

I believe I may have stumbled across something that might make your overclocks more stable.

I've been experimenting with the pagefile by placing it on another partition and seeing if and how it affects performance and stability. eg. my SSD is partitioned so that C: is 35 gigs and D: uses the remainder. Normally, the pagefile is on D with Windows, games and demanding apps on C.

My 24/7 3.7ghz overclock is Prime95 v25.11 stable with this config.

Things become unstable once I move the pagefile back to C and the games/apps to D. Twice now, Prime95 reported a hardware error or crashed to the desktop after running for only 5-10 minutes.

Wow saint19 awesome overclock
when are you coming over to help me with my 1100T LOL

well I am upgrading my Antec 300 case and Asus M4A77TD mobo
going with this mobo

http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/AMD_AM3/M4A88TV_EVOUSB3/

M4A88TV EVO

got it as part of a trade for my PHII 965BE
ended up with a Hauppage HVR-1800 PCIe tuner and that motherboard

also getting this case

http://www.microcenter.com/product/388124/Eleven_Hundred_ATX_Gaming_Mid_Tower#tab-specs

with a 8+1 mobo and a case with better cooling plus temps have started to drop in New Jersey that hopefully I will get my 1100T from 4ghz to at least 4.2ghz stable

hmmm, pm.

New update!

I decided to mess with unlocking and OCing again, this time with some success! I already knew it unlocked okay but i previously wasn't able to OC at all once it was unlocked (probably due to lack of patience). Computer wouldn't even make it to windows sign in screen with anything above 3.4Ghz, even after manually adding voltage. I'd say a pretty good free upgrade going from a tri-core 2.8Ghz to a quad at 3.4Ghz.

Cpu: 720 unlocked to a quad YAY!
Name: mlcaouette
Stepping: C2
Frequency: 3411
ref*multi: 200*17.0
CPU voltage: 1.416 (auto with LLC turned to ultra high)
CPU-NB: auto
nb frequency: 2408
NB volts: auto
RAM: 2x2GB 1600Mhz DDR3 9-9-9-24-1T @ 1.50V
Motherboard: Asus sabertooth 990Fx
Cooling: Air cooling/Hyper 212+ P/P
OS: 7 64-bit

It's kinda fun to try your luck at getting some free performance.

My first two builds were Athlon II x3 450's, the first of which unlocked to a quad but still didn't have an L3 cache and the second unlocked but would just BSOD.

My 720 was just supposed to be a stand in processor while i waited for bulldozer to launch. If i remember correctly it was around $50 less than a 955 at the time.

I think that I can help you tomorrow, I have a lot of free time now... 😉

-190°C...before mobo died :)

The mobo was a gift from MSI, so, not money there....the problem was the dead i7-3770k after 6.1GHz... 😗

Sure, or if you have smartphone we can chat over whatsapp too...

..Wish I could afford a dewar/phase :)

Why not? The most expensive there is the pot for LN2/Dice, with that you can have a lot of funny times...just save money for few month and go ahead...

:)
though it is 4.4ghz but it is not stable
just another insane oveeclockwith lower voltages 😀

how much you are getting on your 8 phase board?
sounds like you surely hitting 4+ stable overclock with an ease

Well I got the Asus M4A88T Evo
http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/AMD_AM3/M4A88TV_EVOUSB3/#specifications

but I havent swapped it out yet
in a couple of weeks I am getting an Antec 1100 case and a Antec Gamer High Current 750w so I will wait to install mobo until I have those parts

right now my best stable OC was 4.1ghz
but the weather and room temp was warmer when I did that
I figure with the new 8+1 phase board and lower temps I should be able to get 4.2-4.3 stable hopefully
