There is no definite Answer to this question. There is only a single benchmark of dx12 "AShes of the singularity " right now which favors AMD heavily. But the thing is AMd cards usually have more RAw power. It is their optimization which make NVidia win the Race. The real verdict will be decided by Real games only. Btw i am still waiting for Amd octa cores to perfrom better in games , which they said 8 years ago.
At the end its a gamble only right now and AMD has won the first round. Also current Amd cards excel in 2006 benchmarks while fail in 2011 benchmarks in comparison to NVidia. So history might repeat itself.

Id say 980ti, because Nvidia usually comes up with better drivers. In DX11 the 980ti is slightly faster in gaming than the Fury-X so if both companys get used to DX12 without driver issues and games actually using DX12 my prediction is than Nvidia will come first.

Naturally AMD GCN cards will perform better in DX12 than Nvidia maxwell cards
GCN were built for parallel processing , also features better raw hardware than nvidia ; dx 11 was all about serial processing , that's why nvidia perform better on it even if amd has better raw hardware ...
dx 12 is all about parallel processing ; which is AMD GCN cards all about ; it will perform better than nvidia on dx 12
