AMD Radeon HD 6870

I want a review of AMD Radeon HD 6870 as a gaming GPU. Will it be able to run crysis 2?

For Hardcore setting (max out all detail, no AA), it`s run well at 1280x1024, but for 1920x1080, maybe you should take a better graphic card for a smooth playing.

I didn`t had 6870, but I do had 6850. It`s could run Crysis 2 smooth on 1280x960. The last thing you should consider is the resolution you want to play with. I think the 45fps is satisfying enough to play the game.

It should be fine maxing it out up to 1680x1050. Once you get to 1080p you'll be lowering some settings ^_^.

So would it better to buy 6870 than nVidia GTX 550 Ti? I dont have a very high budget, around $220-$240. Resolution is least of my concern because i dont have a HD moniter. I have a LCD monitor that supports max 1440*900.

Even 6850 could beat 550 Ti, so 6870. But yes, 550 Ti cheaper than 6850 and 6870 and had lower power consumption.

6870 will do good 1440*900 even in Crysis 2 Hardcore setting (around 40-50fps), but I had a doubt for 550 Ti because on on 1280*1024 it only streak at 30fps.
