Question Asrock X870 Riptide - Wifi not showing up

I have just (re)finished a build with this board everything is running flawlessly except the fact that it does not show any options for a Wifi connection. All board and chipset drivers are installed and up to date. Network settings only shows the LAN connection and Bluetooth.

I used the Asrock Auto Driver Installer; and every time I run this app, it says that there is an update for the WLAN driver (MediaTek WLAN Driver version 5.3.0.1825). Upon selecting the Update button, the driver downloads and installs. The Auto Driver Installer then closes, and there is still no WLAN shown in the networking options for use. If I run the Auto Driver Installer again; it still shows that there is no Current Version installed, and wants me to run the update for the download and installation of the MediaTek WLAN Driver.

I have also tried downloading the WLAN driver from MediaTek directly and installed it from there with no success. I contacted Asrock support and was told that it may be a bad motherboard controller.

Fast forward two weeks; I purchased the same board (replacement) to hopefully fix the issue, and to my surprise, the issue is still present. I'm at my wits end here since Asrock support does not have any solutions; and I somehow doubt that I got two motherboards with the exact same hardware issue. From what I can tell; it's as if the MediaTek WLAN driver is not properly installing; see images below for Device Manager.

Is it enabled in BIOS?

Anyone else dealt with this issue? Any other troubleshooting options? I'm wondering if I need to wait for a new BIOS update, or new version of drivers from MediaTek to fix this issue.

Not many have experience with x870 MBs as they are not used in great numbers, windows may not be either. Try drivers directly from network adapter or MB manufacturer, they should be more up to date.
PS. W10 is all but in demise state, it's unlikely MS is updating driver data base. It doesn't cost anything to try W11.

Hi, were you able to fix it? I am having the exact same issue with a brand new build. It seems as if the driver does not want to install. If you fixed it can you please tell me how?

I saw online other Asrock motherboards having the same issue. Someone said it's because it is not supported for Windows 10. I think I will try Windows 11 to see if it works.

I fixed it!! I installed Windows 11 and reinstalled the driver by going into the BIOS and activating the auto driver app. I just reinstalled the driver and the wifi works!! Apparently wifi 7 on newer motherboards is not compatible with Windows 10 just 11. I really did not want to update yet. I am hating win 11 so far.
