The current review of dual graphics confirms it to be the gimmick I always thought it was. AMD's marketing just does not impress; starting not later than the Bulldozer fiasco, anywhere I see AMD marketing hype, in the absence of actual technical reviews, I have to assume deceit.
I absolutely agree with Maygentria too. At the low end, every dollar matters. This is why I consider DDR3 versions of cards spec'ed for GDDR5 to be such abominations, and won't touch them.

It was suppoed be origainally the Oland based 8670, bit since the 8*** series became OEM only, Boniare XT(8770) became the 7790, and the cut down Cape Verde poved more cost profitable to sell, than the Oland(8670)
