AMD Radeon R7 260 Sublink

AMD Radeon R7 260
**This thread is a sublink to the original thread here.**

Introduction:

The R7 260 is one of a few models that is part of the Radeon fleet as non-reference. Only one manufacturer produces this card with it's baseline included video Ram of 1GB GDDR5, also in the series is a 2GB GDDR5 model variant. As with the memory bus it has the ability to take advantage of up to 1.9GB GDDR5 memory out of 2GB GDDR5. The 260's bandwidth is only 5% slower then that of it's extreme predecessor the 260X, at a total of 98.8GB/s. With it's retail pricing of $30 USD below the 260X, it is at a very good place in the market current. Since this card is not an X variant, it is limited to 1GB GDDR5 vram as the bus determines. This Radeon R7 2XX card is by no means an enthusiast card on the market, but it does have the ability to be used with up to three screens and be put in 2/way crossfire. On all models of the card is a 6-Pin power connector which allows it draw draw a further 110W if needing to, however even when overclocked it will not get anywhere close to 185W. The cards relative and overclocked performance will be added later down in the thread, with the non-reference launched card being used for all tests. The below lists almost all of the current R7 260 models available and their in-detail specifications;

*If you wish to have other cards included, please let me know*

Note: All specifications are taken under the following conditions:

-idle/load fan noise are with AUTO fan control settings

-idle/load temperatures are taken with STOCK MANUFACTURER clock settings. Cards can and will have varying clock and memory speeds per varying model.

-ALL Power supply requirements are from the manufacturer directly, These are not my recommendation.

-ALL Max power consumption Wattage's listed are from it's Power connectors + motherboard power output. The value given is the combined Absolute max power draw. 8-pin connectors can achieve 220W and 6-pin 110W, all modern power supplies can handle and output this amount, with the motherboard outputting 75W.

-ALL memory clocks are given as an effective value.

-Average temperature/fan noise values taken is the halfway difference between the load and idle numbers presented.
