Old games from years ago.
nope. outlast 2 was just released in last april.
i have been monitoring the situation between RX480 and GTX1060. true RX480 gain more performance with new updates but that also true for GTX1060. you can check techpowerup RX480 and GTX1060 launch review and compare the numbers with new review that include both RX480 and GTX1060 on every game tested. we see increase with AMD card vs nvidia kepler when more games get optimized for AMD hardware because of majority of console hardware are using AMD hardware. but the changes nvidia made to maxwell already address that issue. in a few months volta will be coming out. so far i haven't seen maxwell being gimped yet vs pascal.
Well rx 580 8gb is the same graphic with a worked firmware. My rx 480 8gb is now working on rx 580 8gb @ 1411 scores 6640 in superposition uniengine. Gtx 980ti scores 6384 in dx11 benchmark. Gtx 1060 lost 4% to rx 480 8gb drivers on December 2016. Rx 480 8gb won 8% performance on December drivers. April 2017 rx 480 8gb increased in about 4% more. 0 improves for Gtx 1060 on the lastest drivers. This information is on the Internet just use Google
did you actually check the result numbers or just go with what other people said? then let me give you one example:
this is coming from 1060 launch review:
https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/NVIDIA/GeForce_GTX_1060/17.html
at launch reference GTX1060 performance is 74.7FPS. RX480 is 67.2 (1080p)
and this is coming from february this year:
https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/MSI/GTX_1060_Armor/18.html
now reference GTX1060 (the blue bar) is 100.6 FPS. RX480 at 88.8FPS.
we saw performance increase for AMD card but so did on nvidia card. if there is no performance increase for 1060 then in february this year RX480 should already beat GTX1060 in GTA V handily.
So GTA V is the only game on the market Kappa.....
Were is the RX 580? only see RX 480 with same or under 5 fps margin. RX 580 more efficient and much better with a worked firmware. Why there is no RX 580? with a RX 480 giving same or under 5 fps results and better on dx12 you just proved my point, RX 580 beats easily GTX 1060.
BTW the RX 480 review there is not sapphire version as it is the highest factory OC version on the market. You can not compare the GTX 1060 MSI gaming with a standard AMD rx 480, if you doing compares you need to do it with the highest OC version of AMD just like they did with GTX 1060, because the founders edition of GTX 1060 get rekt by the AMD stock cooler version of RX 480.
So if you use your brain and adjust to this little fact i just mentioned you will RX 480 from sapphire (highest oc version just like MSI) beat GTX 1060 since since except GTA V i see many equal results on under 5 fps differences.
Every single person was born with the same brain, everyone is capable of critical mass thinking, but not everyone likes to do it, they just follow the sheep because its easier.

Take this link and enjoy factory no custom OC versions both RX 480 and GTX 1060 since from what i see evga gets higher overclocked compared to MSI.
And DX12, RX 480 clearly wins vs any version of GTX 1060.

check the links above the exact moment you see the chart that is all over the internet. REKT BOY!
i just give you one example. do i need to list every game that TPU have tested here? there is no meaning for me to rewrite the review from TPU here. surely it is not that hard for you to look at the individual performance yourself. also the issue here is not about which card are winning. don't bring this into fanboy war. i said GTX1060 also received performance improvement just like RX480 and not like what you claim that there is no performance improvement for GTX1060 over the course of it's existence. it seems you keep tracking the performance improvement for RX480 but refuse to acknowledge that GTX1060 also getting faster over time.
Tom's Hardware did review the original Titan X pascal (even without sample from nvidia) and when TH look at some of the numbers during 1080ti review there is several performance improvement even for GTX980Ti (which according to you should no longer receive optimization and being purposely gimp to sell pascal based card). granted there is no 1060 being tested since it was review for high end card but even maxwell receive performance improvement so it is impossible for 1060 not improving at all. you can look the numbers for Doom (in Vulkan) for 980ti below.
titan x pascal review (august 2016): http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/nvidia-titan-x-12gb,4700-4.html
1080ti review (march 2017): http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/nvidia-geforce-gtx-1080-ti,4972-3.html
Typical out of arguments moves to 1080ti an titan. Just awesome nvidiots. Vega gaming is coming... Too compare titan and Ti to Vega we are talking budget cards sub 300
uh huh. just the typical that calling other people as fanboi when you can't have the same view as them. i just said there is improvement with nvidia cards even if the said test does not include GTX1060 in them. and never did i mentioned Vega in all my respond to you. obviously you don't even try to understand what being presented in front of you and just cherry picking what what you want to be your truth. so long. there is no use try to make proper discussion with people like this.
Ofc the top products gets improvements in drivers for longer times. Check that last chart on that link I posted before. I gave you facts and information cause seams Google is hard for you to use. 0 improving over time the chart is very clear. Just read it.
I rest my case, hard to argue with people who refuse to open their eyes.
