I agree with most of what you said but; when playing BC2 or Dirt2 or many other DX11 games you are in fact "dumbing down the graphics".

I can enjoy games without the best of the best for sure, but let's not pretend that we are maxing things out. You are maxing your card out, not the games.

Eh, I got the 2GB version for $279 after rebate and flashed it to a 6970, so this is really not worth it. As others have said, the price will need to go down at least another $50. Even then I'd still be on the fence.
