[citation][nom]anamaniac[/nom]AMD’s Worldwide Developer Relations manager, Richard Huddy, said in an interview with bit-tech.net (January 6, 2010) that they have sold 800,000 DX11 cards.Who's right?http://www.bit-tech.net/bits/inter [...] and-dx11/5[/citation]
same info, but from Dec 15 so its more then likely ati could sell more then 2mil till january.

The reason Dirt 2 is Dx 9 and 11 only is it was rushed for release. I expect that all future Dx 11 titles will have full 10 support.

Gratz Amd now if only you could make a processor thats worthy to go into a computer with the 5970. And before any amd fanboys jump down my throught I love amd and build with(because of issues with Intel's buisness practices) them but the phenoms can't compete with a core i5 in a single vid card system.

the integrated pci-e controller on the core i5 allows for faster communication but is limited to only 16 lanes so it tends to slow down as you add more cards.

But pound for pound intel has the strongest chip line up now... they're just at Microsoft lvl corruption and unlike switching to exclusivly mac or linix I don't have to put any effort into playing the games I want if I go with the competition.

I will agree that Intel strenghtened their position in the CPU market with the release of i5. However, the prices are still high since all they're doing is replacing the LGA 775 pentium dual cores and C2D.

But I wouldn't agree that dollar for dollar Intel CPUs arethe best value across the board. Anyone wishing to go with Intel i5 will still have extra costs with buying a new motherboard where AMD can still sell faster quad cores without asking it's customers to pay an extra $100 for new mobo.

never said dollar for dollar I said pound for pound(or clock for clock) the 2.6g 920 beats the 3.2g Phenom II 955. and they're fairly close in price for just the chip not counting the rest of the platform (or were haven't been watching prices too closely lately don't have the money to upgrade anytime soon :()
