Hi,
I have a gigabyte R9 280X connected to a sound sorround receiver through an HDMI cable, which is connected to my monitor and speakers. To my understanding, I am using the built-in graphics card audio (AMD TrueAudio) to process all the audio from gaming or movies (correct me if I am wrong). My Motherboard (MSI Z87-G45) comes with a "AudioBoost" embedded sound card, which to my understanding is not very powerful. However, I was wandering if I should get my sound from my motherboard through a digital cable going from mobo to the receiver, or if I am better of with AMD TrueAudio technology.
Thx!!!
