i bet that card is actually a 5800 series. they have no nameing on it and this is just a feture you can get on them like the old ATI ALL-IN WONDER series of cards. you just have to pay a little extra to have a 5800x2 or something with ATI Eyefinity. cause that would be the smartest move to do or just give all the cards with this.

looks like the heatsink is a thermalright, try frozencpu.com for nice fans.

ya but you all have to think- even if you had a big projector or even a 60 inch tv or something. it is still only going to be 1920 x 1080 or at max 1920 x 1200 this with 6 monitors all at 1920x1200 that is a resolution of (1920 x 3 across = 5760 and 1200 x 2 down = 2400) 5760 x 2400. now hopefully the hardware can keep up with that resolution cause that is damn high. even it is an add in card or something would be sweet like i said in my previouse statement hopefully this is an add on that you can choose like th old all in wonders. you could get a 9700pro or a 9700pro all in wonder. now it would be a 5870 or 5870 with Eyefinity.

seems nice for flight sims, where 2 monitors serve as cockpit, 2 as side, and 2 as rear view

Maybe a 12 monitor setup would work for full driving simulators.

4 for the windsheild, 4 for the rear view and 2 each for left and right windows. That would put a new spin on things like GTA or NFS, check out those chasing cop cars by looking over your shoulder, or getting an actual rear view mirror mounted on the windshield.

How about a few of these bad boys!!!

That's the kind of slim bezel I could get to like

I could actually use this. From a video editing perspective, 6 24in monitors makes alot of sense. well...6 may be a bit overkill but i know i could definitly use the space.

Isn't it cheaper to buy one big LCD TV instead? Don't tell me 1080p resolution will not be enough to play from a 2.5+ meter distance.

My 66cm Sony Bravia XBR-1920x1080 is bloody awesome my with my 4870 1GB DDR5. I have Fusion HDTV Card in the Box as well, Great to have multi whatever on the screen cranking happily at the same time, Great Card for Recording High Def. I Never see too much wrote about my card, that_AMD just rambled on about their midrange cards after the 4870, but were numbered below the 4870 like the 4600-4770 then of course just the 4890

Ill wait for the second or third Direct X 11 Card though I'm running Win7 64Bit-have been for ages, with a AMD Quad, 6GB Ram, I play all games in max res with no fuss at all.. Theirs no many changes happening to PC's, there evolving again_USB 3-faster than SATA 2_USB External Raid array, HDMI 3.0 i think they call it( which will include our internet connection), GPGPU.
Interesting times.

playing on multi lcds sucks, those "bars" mess up the whole image. Some1 should make some system to unite LCDs easyer and panels be near eachother.

i would never accept any size bezels. btw i thought maybe when i saw 6 that they were gonna have the screens in cube formation for total surround vision. unfortunately i think using real field of view would cause brain damage because you would have to turn your head around like crazy to see everything which would cause your brain to bang around inside your skull.

At $8k you can use the nec crv43 lcd monitor that's curved and put two 32 monitors on it's left and right will solve the problem, the bezel between the monitors would be like the hood supports between your windshield of the car and the side windows. Nice!!!

TO ANYONE WHO DOESN'T UNDERSTAND THIS ARTICLE - A large 1080p monitor, yes would be big, but not nearly as defined. That would be the reason for this. That 6 monitor setup is like calling it 6480p, respectively. That is A LOT more desktop space then 1080p. Anyway, most computer monitors run at 1200p (1920x1200). So, this whole HD comparison is kinda stupid. Rock on AMD!
