Did you really register in 1970? How old are you?
The forum didn't exist until around 2000 😉 There were issues porting over the join dates when they last changed forum software and anyone who was already registered got reset to the default date.
I'm not sure whether "respect" is the word I'd use for products either but for the sake of simplicity I'll run with it. Yes, I "respect" their products, and not the companies. Do you respect your local supermarket?

Oh good, I thought I was going to have a repeat of the argument I had on XS 2 days ago about almost the same thing. I don't understand brand loyalty or why some people feel the need to be grateful to corporate entities unless they've done something that directly affects them. For example, I would probably be grateful if I was a kid or the family of a kid who got to stay in a Ronald McDonald House after a long battle with cancer, but I am not one of these kids and so at best I can say it's a good thing they do. I'm not grateful for salad menus or quadruple cheeseburgers though, which are just the products they sell me. I may "respect" the product (I don't respect cheesburgers!) but not the company selling them just because they sell them.
