my needs is anything i do anything not just gaming
cant buy anything else these are second hand
the r7 260x costs a little more than gtx is it worth ?

Double the VRAM on the 260x is going to be a huge help in modern games. 1 GB doesn't even the minimum for some games.

The R7 260x isn't crap. It is fine for medium settings @ 1080p 30+ fps. It offers similar performance to a GTX 750 TI.

I used to own a 260x, and it didn't perfom like it was on paper/internet. It's laggy, it gets very hot. and no way you can get 30+fps on 1080p. I couldn't even run arma 2 with it, while my old GTX 280 gddr 3 could play very high 1080p which got broken so i replaced it with the 260x, i had it for free and gave it do my dad now he is happy with it, just for youtube and movies. MAX payne 3 low settings was like playing in slowmotion without using slowmotion, impossible to play. Insurgency low settings 20 fps, even counter strike global offensive 40 fps on low.

Even iff you have higher FPS the 260x has poor Input lag, 50 fps feels like 20. Believe it or not, i was glad to get rid of it since im just a gamer not a programmer or whatever,

What's the full specification of your PC? Have you considered looking at the second-hand market?

I agree that the R7 260X is the best card out of the ones you've chosen (it's essentially a rebadged HD 7790) but it still offers only basic performance. Don't expect anything better than 1080p 30fps at low settings in modern AAA games.

If I were you, and depending on the specification of your PC, I would look for a stronger GPU on the second-hand market.

and going to change ram to make it dual channel
i dont want to play at 1080 i just want it to be able handle games in low settings like new need for speed
and its on second hand stuff things cant find anything else
if i buy this i dont think im going to change it soon
maybe sometime i just do some Designing things like solid and .......... is it good for it ?

The G1620 is going to hold you back regardless of which GPU you buy. In the case of NFS it's below the minimum system requirement, which is an i3 4130.

Unfortunately, you need to upgrade the CPU and GPU to stand even a chance at AAA gaming.

Ideally, you should upgrade the CPU and GPU at the same time, and prioritise the GPU. By doing this, you have a better balance of components that compliment rather than bottleneck one another.

The R7 260X is an entry-level GPU even by today's standards. Within a year, it'll be insufficient.

is it going to be a good card with pentium ?
how about i3 4170 ? 😀
how long will it be good with 4170 ?
im afraid of losing this card cause its well priced and this kind things are hard to find

I'd consider an i3 4150 to be the absolute minimum for AAA gaming today. Likewise, a GTX 960 or R9 380 is the minimum GPU I'd recommend for 1080p.

A CPU with two threads, such as a Celeron or Pentium, is only suitable for basic desktop tasks.

What is your budget? An APU system might be your best bet.
