you have to loosen your RAM multiplier. I had the same problem before.

AM2 boards lock the memory speed to the CPU frequency. If you set your memory to DDR2 800, the divider is set to a certain number (i.e. 5 for my system). My system is a divider of 5 normally (when locked to DDR2 800), which means 2000mhz/5 = 400 mhz DDR = 800 mhz. I have it set to DDR2 667 to compensate for my 2.56 overclock, which gives me 2560 mhz/6 = 426 mhz DDR = 852 mhz.

All this goes to say that if its your memory that is unstable, just set it to 667 and you should be fine.

Let me know if you have any problems.

please forgive my ignorance but im kinda new to this...

would forcing my ddr800 down to 667 slow me down more then gaining 100-200mhz of cpu? or is there something better i should be using instead of the default Timing 5-5-5-15? just seems wierd im pinned at 2.91.

think leaving the multiplyer at 14.5 and upping the fsp to 205-210ish would yeild better (stable!) results? Hate to do that with an unlocked proc.

Did you ever figure out how to get your system higher than 2.9??? I am in the same exact boat, anything above 2.94 and i cannot run Orthos for more than 5 seconds.
