Hello!

INFORMATION:

For everyone out there that is using AMD's Zen 5 (9000 series) CPUs and the iLok License Manager to activate their software:

The new Zen 5 microarchitecture has a bug!
When trying to open the iLok License Manager, users will receive the following error message:
"Error 2001. Background component unavailable".
So, users won't be able to activate their programs!

There's not much that users can do in this situation.
AMD must release a microcode patch.

Until then, users should check for the release of new BIOS versions for their motherboard.

hmm. but that error just means some dependencies (background services?) arent running?
Probably.

The iLok support team knows about this bug, but there's nothing that they can do to solve it.
They've contacted AMD.
AMD must patch their microarchitecture with a new microcode.

It sucks that we buy software, but we can't use it.
