[citation][nom]jj463rd[/nom]I did try out a Nvidia card (TNT 2) just once that worked (well kinda worked I was a little disappointed it had really butt ugly colors and got a superior 3DFX Voodoo 3 card instead).L[/citation]

Dunno what you are talking about... Pretty sure the Voodoo 3's only supported 16 bit colors as i used to own one while the TNT2 cards supported 32 bit colors.

[citation][nom]sunflier[/nom]TH: Please ban any any comments that ask that same old worn-out question: "Yeah, but can it play Crysis?"If you don't know, then you're an idiot.[/citation]

Can it play Crysis? LOL

It's true that the Voodoo 3 supported only 16 bit colors (Glide was awesome though very 3D much much better than open glide) but the TNT 2 card displayed such ugly colors that it seemed as if the color black was mixed in with every color.Imagine if you will someone mixing in a little black paint with red paint(or yellow etc.)ugh.

[citation][nom]mayne92[/nom]Interesting read...[/citation]

Highly interesting and also discouraging because I was waiting for the cheaper fermi variant to come out and buy it for my next build... I dont know if I want to buy an ATi gpu as my last 3 have been Nvidia based.

Yepp, that's great news!
But, as others pointed out here, the worst thing about the ATI cards are the drivers. Why can't they make the driver interface and structure just like NIVIDA do?
