AMD's Radeon HD 5000-Series: Measuring Power Efficiency

There's an easy way to defeat AMD's initiative & that is by using Riva tuner or any other overclocking software to set the GPU to a fixed clock rate.If that doesn't work then increase the clock speed by 1MHz for GPU & 1 MHz for the memory and measure power consumption in this state (and the card won't throttle clock speeds as it's now overclocked).

Dear Tom's, can you please do another one like this, now with Nvidia cards?? I'm planning a completely new computer with low power use and power efficiency as one of my big concerns. I'm still a bit overwhelmed with trying to make sense of all this and deciding whether to go AMD or Nvidia (most likely AMD) and, more importantly, which model of card.
