After changing some fan cables around into different headers, my pc can not get passed American Megatrends telling me that “The computer case is open. Please make sure the computer case is closed properly, then press CTRL + ALT + DEL to continue. Fatal Error”. Is there a way to ignore this and boot, as my pc is closed?

Solution
Its my own pc, not prebuilt, ASUS z590-E. Was previously changing around fan headers when this happened. Checked that all the cables are plugged in tight and that the case is completely closed. Even if I have the case open this doesnt happen normally, so I dont know whats going on. As far as I’m aware there are no places on my NZXT H710 where there are sensors to see if the case is open.
Such sensors are not built in the case but on the motherboard. Look at MB manual. https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/.../E17988_ROG_STRIX_Z590-E_GAMING_UM_V2_WEB.pdf

And what is the motherboard of this PC? Or the exact model of prebuilt since it's more likely that this is a prebuilt.

Chassis intrusion header (CHASSIS)
The 2-pin header allows you to connect the chassis-mounted intrusion detection
sensor or switch. The chassis intrusion sensor or switch sends a high-level signal
to the header when a chassis component is removed or replaced, the signal is then
generated as a chassis intrusion event.

Thanks for letting me know. So in conclusion what steps should I take to fix the problem?

From the manual it's not clear if it's supposed to be shorted or not. You could try to keep it shorted while booting, it can't hurt because it's made just for a micro switch to be placed on case cover.
I borrowed a jumper cap from the cpu over voltage system (page above the one cited in the manual), and it booted successfully without the error with it shorted. However when I removed the cap it obviously still had the same problem, does this mean that I have to now go and find another jumper cap to permanently have on these pins?

Yes. but if you are not overclocking you can use it for now.

Well thats unfortunate, but I’m happy my computer actually works now. Thank you for the help!

Edit: Was able to get into bios and turns out my dumbass turned on Chassis Intrusion Detection Support on in bios just thinking it was something that would help me in some way.

You are welcome. I know it's not "manly" to read manuals but I always read them before buying actual product.

Reminds of my very first job as a HVAC Automation engineer. I was constantly being a laughing stock of the "old guys" for reading through documentation to controllers and wiring documentation the day before installation. Guess what, more often than not, i would end being done with my part of the job by 3pm, while they were still sweating and cussing 4 hours later.

I learned my lessons during '70s and '80s when I had to reprogram some factory productions machines with Relay Control Logic with 100 or more relays each with 6 -8 contacts plus timers. Lack of schematics made jobs 10 times longer, sometimes for weeks. Introduction of even elementary computerized controllers that same job took minutes.

Yup, that's why I wanted to know if you could get into BIOS.

Now that it's off, can you move the jumper back, and have everything work the way you want to?
