For the record, I have had several different platforms with that cold boot issue. It almost always centered around an attached USB device and removal of the device at boot time always seemd to work. It is a hassle, because you would think the settings in the Bios would provide some sort of workaround. I always thought the board saw the USB and was trying to boot from it, but the bios settings were set such that was not the case.
Oh and by the way, I like that Gigabyte DS3L board, good bang for the buck.
