Android Studio EROR! pls help to fix this

It shows this eror when i launch the a device in the avd manager..

Cannot launch AVD in emulator.
Output:
emulator: ERROR: x86 emulation currently requires hardware acceleration!
Please ensure Intel HAXM is properly installed and usable.
CPU acceleration status: HAX kernel module is not installed!

These are the details about the device..

Category: phone
Name: Galaxy Nexus
Size: 4.65"
Resolution: 720x1280
Density: xhdpi

Release Name: lolipop
API level: 21
ABI: x86
Target: Android 5.0.1

Startup size and orientation- Scale (auto)
Emulated Performance: Use host GPU

What can I do to fix it?

Hi,

Creating an emulator is not the same as launching the emulator. Please see the Launching the emulator documentation. (http://developer.xamarin.com/guides/android/getting_started/hello,android/#Launching_the_Emulator_%E2%80%93_Visual_Studio)

When the Start Emulator dialog first appears and is empty, either wait a bit or click the Refresh images link (and then wait some more -- a few seconds). When an entry appears under the Available images section, select a name and click OK.

If the Start Emulator dialog doesn't show anything, you'll need to click the Create new emulator image link, which will open the AVD Manager; you can then create a new AVD name, return to the Start Emulator dialog, and click the Refresh images link.

Once you've clicked OK in the Start Emulator dialog, the emulator should launch. Wait for it to finish booting (a few minutes?), then return to the Select Device dialog, click the Refresh link, select your running device, then click OK.

Ater you Create an emulator, you need to return to the Start Emulator dialog, select an AVD name, and click the OK button. This will launch the

Start the AVD manager and start it from there.
Starting from the AVD manager is not a good idea, as that tends to create emulator instances with very little free space on the /data partition.

You should either launch the AVD from the IDE or from the command line (http://developer.xamarin.com/guides/android/advanced_topics/command_line_emulator/)

emulator -partition-size 512 -avd NameOfYourEmulator
