Question Annoying FPS drops

I am having major FPS drops on both call of duty and Fortnite. I know this isn’t temperature related. I have a rtx2070, i5 8400 and a 850 watt psu. I even tried switching gpus and nothing helped. It is playable and isn’t that noticeable until it drops below like 60 for close to half a second. Any ideas?

Maybe try forcing VSYNC via the Nvidia control panel ?

I never really liked vsync though. Also, it does get a lot of hate.

Why does VSYNC get a lot of hate ? Even if you don't like it, this feature is there for some reason. Depends on the end-user's needs, and the type of game being played. Sometimes it helps with screen tearing.

I don’t think it has to do with the psu though
