I have a 5870 laying around, and was wondering if there is any advantage in it, when used in a computer that already has a GTX 770.

I don't want to downgrade, and I am aware that I cannot use both cards, because they are different brand; but do I have any advantage in having the 5870 in my computer or should I just get rid of it?

Solution
The only thing you can probably do, is use the 5870 as your main card, and the 770 dedicated to Physx. I don't even know if it's possible with AMD and Nvidia combo. Anyways, you should just sell your 5870, or keep it as a replacement in case you need to repair or send back your 770.

Sounds good; the 5870 is half the power of the 770, I was hoping that it could be used for something like direct control of a rift and such.

I will just try to sell it, or keep it as backup card.
