Keeping the veterans (from a business point of view) is more important
than attracting 10 newbies that only two will stay. Its that way with
all on-line games, not just UO. UO is now 8 years old, and still not
in any "real" danger of shutting down any time soon.
Why "fix" what is not broken? UO fits the old gamers saying;
There is more too a good game than flashy graphics.
