I'm planning on upgrading my CPU from an Athlon II X4 635 to this an Intel i5 "something." Also, my goal is to play GTAIV+EFLC with a smooth-as-eggs framerate, hopefully LA Noire & GTAV, too.
So, is there any difference between the i5 2300, 2310, 2320 and 2400 in terms of performance, power usage, or other advantages? Or is there another CPU i'm overlooking (budget $200)?
Looking at a group of these i5 (reg stores & newegg), between the range of $180 to $220. The 2310 is $180 and is looking good to me; extra $20-40 can go toward the board me thinks.
Thanks!
Btw, using these as my guidelines:

Looking at i5 since TH suggests 3 tiers higher to make an upgrade worthwhile, and they're the least expensive in that top tier.
