Please exclude battlefield, call of duty, and halo, (Halo 1 and 2, worst console ports in existence.) from your suggestions. :na:

It can be anything, virtually anything, but it needs to be fun though. ^_^ It can be a free to play game, freeware, open source, anything! ^^

Just got done playing and beating FTL, and those are, have had to have been, some of the best gaming hours of my life. c:

So now im looking for more fun. c:

Any suggestions? ^^

And oh yes, im a crysis fan, (judging by my avatar.) only FPS I had a LOT of fun with in awhile. Crysis 2 disappointed though, but I tend not to associate this avatar with that title. (At least I try not to. Crysis 2 was fun, but crysis 1 was VERY FUN 😀)

I think Deus Ex 2 is worth considering if DX3 is - although it was a horribly-done Xbox port that brought computers of the time to their knees, modern hardware obviously won't struggle and it had the best selection of endings ever! It was also the early days of ragdoll physics so there are some funny glitches there 🙂

Its just not something that most of us feel comfortable talking about, don't really like to revisit it. its cool and all, not really a big deal just one of those things I guess.

i have no idea what Dosbox is

Idk man the game sure scared the heck outta me. lots of stuff jumping out, getting short on ammo and being surrounded by ugly monsters. I love it! I recommend it, looks like the OP is just gonna have to draw their own conclusions.

I get what you mean SlammerBurgr, but jumping out on the screen is not... scary for me... its BU!, and then shoot it...

Amnesia on the other hand... i was actually scared to play it 😀.

In dead space most of the "scary" parts were unexpected (like a corpse coming out to live when you get close to it... stuff like that). In dead space 2, i felt more like a marine shooting my way throu 😀.

On the ammo side... i actually always had 2 much ammo since i was always saving it 😀.

I want to try Amnesia, I've heard it has an Eternal Darkness type thing going for it, I like that creepy atmosphere.

It's just a DOS emulator - lets you play pre-Windows 95 games on a modern computer. Until 1997, most (good) PC games were still made for DOS. Doom, Duke Nukem, System Shock, Ultima up to 8, all that stuff. If you want to have a blast on an old favourite again or try something you didn't play at the time, it's a useful way to do it.

Cannon Fodder!

Prince of Persia 2 is an excellent recommendation, and Little Big Adventure even better! Those were two of my favourite DOS games! Also awesome was Heretic, Duke Nukem 2, Biomenace and Flashback.

EVE ONLINE

One game I got adicted to is a EVE Online, it's a MMO but its a Spaceship MMO. Lots of Eye candy. And you are free to do whatever you want to, there is a steep learning curve but once you have it, its very enjoyable.

XCom: Enemy unknown. Good good and can be as hard as you want it.

Has aspects of Gears of War from a cover perspective, but it's a slower paced 'thinking' game with great rewords or catastrophic failures (for you, not the game).

hate to be a shill here, but the game is quite good.

I play it on PC using cxbx, although some of my friends said that its no longer available.

I play Ninja Gaiden Black on Xbox 360 (download from Xbox Marketplace) - it's an Xbox original and it's only 800points to download (10$).

That is the game you should be playing. It is amazing. Very hard and very deep. Way better than Ninja Gaiden 2, and the graphics are so good that it looks almost like an Xbox 360 game.

Also, Lost Odyssey for Xbox 360 is an AMAZING game. I am a huge JRPG fan and this is one of the better ones to have been released the last 5 years.

Seeing as how people brought up console games, I thought I would throw a couple out there.

All that talk about space sims, and NOBODY mentions Freespace 2? Come on guys.

Arcanum: of Steamworks and Magicka - Amazing soundtrack. Strings have never been so awesome.

The Feeble Files - Will need SCUMMVM.

Tobal 2 - You'll need an emulator. I recommend Xebra.

Wel, im guesisng you already know these ones, but ill add them anyway:

Half Life 2
Bioshock 1 and 2
Portal 1 and 2
Left4Dead
Morrowind,Oblivion and Skyrim
Mass effect 1 and 2
Homeworld Cataclysm
Fallout 1 2 and 3
Limbo, Deadlight
Diablo 2
Witcher 2
Hitman codename 47
Dragon Age 1

Left 4 Dead is dead. Left 4 Dead 2 is still played somewhat, though.

You forgot Mass Effect 3. Great game, too.

You forgot New Vegas - better than Fallout 3.

Diablo 2 is just a botfest now. Diablo 3 is what everyone is playing.

Dragon Age Origins is what you mean, there is no Dragon Age 1. And Dragon Age 2 is better.
